Matt Ryan

I don't really get to see much football here in Australia, so I have to go on scouting reports and other peoples opinions a lot of the time. I was wondering how you rate Matt Ryan compared to the QB's taken high in last years draft? I'm referring mainly to JaMarcus Russell and Brady Quinn, but feel free to throw in any other comparisons too.

He's definitely not as good as Russell. I'd put him close to Brady Quinn's level of talent. I don't think he's all that great but could be a pretty descent QB in this league. In previous drafts, he would probably be the 3rd best qb.
Frankly, I don't see him much more than just a Chris Redman type in the NFL.

Cliff Levingston definitely doesn't see the franchise QB ability in Ryan, but who knows.
