Not a sexy pick, but one that had to be made I guess for the Bears. I honestly think they could've went with an OL in the 2nd and 3rd rounds and still gotten starter quality. I would've went with Medenhall.

I wanted Mendenhall but Chris Williams is a solid pick. I would love Flacco in round 2.

Probably not the sexiest pick in the world,but an absolutely necessary one.Nothing happens without the guys in the front blocking.

Williams is a talented tackle so he will be able to come out and start for us,at a very important position.

RB is deep this year.Somebody like Chris Johnson will be available in the 2nd,and there is also Matt Forte,and other capable RB's.

Same here. Really disappointed me because up until the 14th pick I was just hoping nobody else would pick Mendenhall. We could have traded Benson for some picks too. Darn.

I wanted Albert but I'll live with Williams.

There are a lot of RB's in the draft. Since only 2 of 15 picks have been running backs I think it's safe to say someone will be there in the 2nd round.

The Bears needed this pick. The O Line is god-awful. I know, picking Rashard would've made some of our fans giddy. But 2008-09 would suck for him if there wasn't a solid line to run behind. Besides, Angelo's opinion of RB's isn't exactly one I trust. He'd only ruin Mendenhall's career.

I like the pick, I think Albert was the better pick, either way Im happy.

Well, we all saw it coming. Was hoping Clady would slip - he looks so athletic in the clips I've seen. Even the Lions let Mendenhall go by their pick....

I'm happy so far. Second round pick will be HUGE.

Who on Earth would trade picks(Of any round) for an unproven player that has had two season ending injuries in his career already,and thus far has caused headaches regarding his character,and just overall has been a huge dissapointment?

If you can find somebody willing to trade a 5th or 6th rounder for Benson,I'd kill to know who they are

Remembering the opener last year in San Diego and how that game unfolded, this pick was pretty much inevitable. The kid's gotta get in that weight room though. But you can get stronger. Can't get quicker though.

I'm amped to get Williams. Mendenhall has got pretty high bust potential given that he's been a feature back for only 1 year in his college career. He'd also play like crap regardless of his ability given our lack of offensive weapons around him and an awful offensive line.

Yes, every player has bust potential, but there are some guys who are safer and some guys who aren't. Mendenhall strikes me as a guy who has very high bust potential.

I like the Williams pick...we should have a shot at one of the two of Brohm and Henne.

We passed on them both in the second, but I wouldn't be shocked if one is there for us in the third.

Think again. Brohm taken by the Packers, Henne by the Dolphins.

So we going with another year of the Rex and Kyle show, not surprised.

Give them an O-line and things might happen. This Williams pick isn't sexy by any means, but what OL is a sexy pick? They never get the glory and the camera is focused on the QB, the RB, the WR, or the ball in the air going to one of the three, while the OL do all the work.

I love this pick,and I think he can be a legit franchise LT.

Yeah, lots of people seem to forget that Mendenhall only had one good year and then bolted to the NFL draft to cash in while he was hot. He's a bigger question mark than anyone else that was picked in the first round.
