Following the DRaft from Ethiopia! - Local Question

Hey Guys. First I'd like to say:

THANK GOD FOR THIS BOARD AND ALL THE POSTERS!

I feel like I'm in Chicago, following the threads here. I got internet access, but it costs $50 a day - plus taxes what a rip (add that up for 15 days) and its not really high speed so I can't look at highlights from the draft or Youtube stuff for highlights either - but at least I know who got drafted right!

Anyways, I was really wondering how the local sports talk radio guys and local media have been commenting on the first couple picks. Negative (more than normal), positive, indifferent?

Waiting for a difference maker in Round 3!!!

emporer - haven't listed to the radio reaction but aside from Mariotti's usual criticism, it's been pretty positive from the print media. Bears pretty much draft by the numbers. Good to see you're able to get some internet in Ethiopia!

lol hey Emporer, hope things are going well in lawland!

Chris Williams was almost a given.

Forte was touted as too early, somewhat of a reach, but a glove like fit for Chicago

Earl Bennet is an ok pick, still wondering why we didn't get the burner in Caldwell.

IMO we have two burners in Bradley and Hester - we needed a guy who can get a first down by running a good route.

I'm starting to realize that there a bunch of guys that have superior athleticism that just fell hard in the draft. In the NFL, where everybody has supreme athelticism, your hops and speed aren't going to cut it, you need to be a good football player and play with a brain.

I'm starting to realize its a good pick, especially after the Hines Ward comparison, and Iceness' Amani Toomer comparison.
