Over/Under Bears win 9 games in 2008/2009

Ok, I had to make a new thread, well because nobody posts here anymore and ever since the Bulls won the lotto, it's been nothing but garbage threads over at the Bulls forums. Anyways, last year the Bears won 7 games and were far from making the playoffs. This year, with a somewhat new O-Line, hopefully healthy players, and a motivated Rex/Kyle ready to earn a contract, I'm hoping that the Bears can somehow sneak into the playoffs.
I feel that we'll either be battling Minnesota at the top of the standings, or Detroit at the bottom..
Anyways, what are you thoughts on 9 wins? Do you think the Bears can improve by 2 games in the upcoming season in hopes that it would be enough to make the playoffs? or do you think they'll make a return to the playoffs with a vengeance, similar to 2006?

Over, I predict 10 or 11 wins with our defense healthy. Not 100% healthy, at least as healthy we were in 2006.

over. I'm not sure why you would vote under if you root for the team.

Well, it'd be being a realistic fan.
I'm goin' push, however.

OVER OVER OVER
Did you guys get a look at Benson in mini camp? Lost 10 lbs. New diet. Everyone says he looks fast.
11+ wins.

What does reality have to do with being a Bears fan???
Don't let facts, stats, trends and reality get in the way of my judgment as a Bears fan now.

Reality? Screw that. BEARS ARE GOING TO WIN THE SUPER BOWL.
Maybe not.....but hey.

I don't know how its unrealistic to hope for 11 if our defense is healthy-ish.

Push. Our coaching is still suspect with Turner running things on the offensive side of the ball... and even Babich on defense.

Oh, we're still talking Bears football after the Bulls lotto win ?
For shame, NoSkyy! I can root for the Bears and be pessimistic/realistic. I'll say 8 wins (and I sure hope that matches what I predicted a couple months ago since my opinion hasn't changed).
Good new avatar, though !

It's hard for me to say double digit wins this year. Our offense really isn't much better. We have the same problems on the OL and at QB, although we did get a new OL but still won't be enough IMO. If our defense stays healthy I'll say 9 maybe 10 but if we have injuries on the defense again I'm goin under.

if everything falls into place optimally, and grossman manages effectively and takes good shots down the field we could easily win 11 or 12
i predicted a while back that we would go 9-7

Are you sure?
If we're talking about managing the game, I'd rather have Orton, maybe.

I am going to go under but I hope I am wrong. I think this is a 6 or 7 win team but if we do stay healthy we could win 9 games and possibly make the playoffs.

The actual Vegas line is over/under 8 wins.
I believe it's going to be a very difficult year for Chicago but the defense and Hester will win the team some games. Stay healthy Chicago!

Under
I'm going to say somewhere between 3-6 wins at most.
I think it almost might be rebuilding time. It's a good thing that we already have some good young pieces in place.

Benson leaving is a plus.
I stand by my prediction of 10-11 wins, if the defense is relatively healthy. I don't think thats all homeristic.
I think the Bears will surprise many, Bears fans and non Bears fans.

We were 28th in total defense (bottom five), and still went 7-9, losing several close games along the way.
If the defense can be healthier then this year and return to the top 5, or even top 10, the team will be much improved. Even if our offense gets worse (27th last year).
