I see Dusty starting along side TH. Last year in camp and in preseason the guy looked like a caged animal. I'm really hoping he can stay injury free. He seems like the type that would motivate others through his intensity.

I also liked what I saw from him during the first game of the season. It's unfortunate that he went down in that game.

If HEALTHY, I can see Dusty doing some big things to help our poor defensive line (and other d-players) that couldn't tackle or stop the run since late 2006 season. If he can clog up some of the gaps, that'd force a lot of the opposing RBs to go on the outside, where I think would allow Lance, Brian, and Hunter to take care of their business.

I love Dusty, he just needs to stay healthy. Brain admitted the one player he missed from the defense was Dusty and that's becuase he's a freaking animal.

While I hesitate to reply to a thread where the OP is named "Mr Smoke Weed" - change that name dude! - I loved what Dvoracek showed in limited time thus far. That being said, I'll bet he's in a war for PT with rookie Marcus Harrison. Should be an interesting camp.

C'mon now he has a right to call himself Mr Smoke Weed...this is America!
Anyway I really hope DD wins the starting job. However, in the long run of the season it's really not that important who starts next the Harris, because of the constant rotation of the defensive line. Dusty, Harrison, Anthony Adams, and Idonije will all have their chances to make plays. I think Idonije is going to have a big year as a guy who can play any position on the D line.
Competition creates better play, and there is plenty of it at DT.

Jeez - I see Dusty is already on the PUP list (which he can be taken off of at any time).
http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/bears/1072448,CST-SPT-bside24.articleDusty Dvoracek's calf injury isn't believed to be serious either, but however minor, it's another setback for the third-year defensive tackle, who needs to be on the field to stake his claim for a starting job.
Dvoracek is on the non-football injury list because he was hurt working out on his own after the offseason program. He missed a good chunk of the offseason with a sprained left hand and now has the new ailment while coming back from a torn ACL.
''It doesn't seem like it's a significant injury,'' coach Lovie Smith said. ''Whenever a guy misses any amount of time, there is a little bit of concern but not a lot. He'll be fine.''
