He has no chance to play Sunday, unless Orton is injured. Period.
The key points in the game plan for this week...
Offense
1) Be patient with short gains in the running game. Philly rushes the passer and loads up the box. They prey on poor offensive lines, ours is terrible, worse than the Steelers. Play the field position game.
2) Don't drop passes.
3) Look out for the right side of their D line. (blocked by our left side - St. Clair and Beekman have to step it up.)
-Broderick Bunkley and Trent Cole. The right side of their D line is their thunder and lightning. Cole is nifty with his explosive moves and Bunkley is a powerful DT. DT MIke Patterson was highly regarded out of USC, but has been mediocre. He's coming off his best game as a pro, but I don't expect much from him.
4) We can't expect much from our WRs, no seriously, even less than before.
They have a pretty solid core of CBs. Lito Sheppard, Sheldon Brown, Asante Samuel.
Philly thrives off of coverage sacks. Their line was able to sack Big Ben because their CBs covered well and their safeties did a hell of a job of shadowing. Q. Mikell is becoming a really good safety learning from one of the best, Dawkins.
5) Attack the left side of our O line. So go right at Cole and Bunkley. These guys love to pass rush, if Forte can get past zone 1 in Philly's D, I'll laugh all the way to the end zone. Their line backing core is pretty average, and I'm pretty confident we can take advantage of that if we can get past zone 1.
Defense
1) Rush rush rush the passer. Collapse the pocket and force McNabb to make quick decisions without any room to run. McNabb usually has Westbrook to dump it to, but I'm praying Westbrook decides to rest that injury.
2) Desean Jackson is a legit rookie. We can't underestimate this guy. Usually on rookies our guys are told to be really aggressive. We can't over look him, he's big play potential.
3) Make tackles!!! Philly averages tons of yards after the catch. Look out for short dinkers and sideline blocking schemes. This isn't a huge concern because our linebackers play with their heads and usually make good reads to avoid blocking schemes.
4) Take away the tight end. Much like our offense, Philly's offense lives off their RB and TE. They work the sidelines with Westbrook, and when they get the outside linebackers and safeties cheating they go to the TE. Hopefully Westbrook doesn't play and they never get a chnace to set up their TE.
5) Pray to your lord that Brian Westbrook doesn't play.
Bear down!
