Location, Location, Location
Soldier Field; Chicago, Illinois (NOW we know why they renovated the joint)
What Else Do You Need To Know To Rightfully Enjoy Bears Football?TV: FOXRadio: WBBM 780WEFFPIM's Tidbits - Bears Edition-Revel in this game, Chicagoans. It'll be the only Game 7 the city has this month. ZING!!!-Last time the Vikings were in Chicago, the Bears could have had Adrian Petersen arrested for rape. I mean, I could have had him arrested for rape. It was that brutal.-Apparently, God flipped a lightswitch causing half of the Bears roster to go down with injuries. I would predict who will be starting in the secondary on Sunday, but 1. I couldn't even guess and 2. If last Sunday was any indication, it won't matter in the least.-OT but still Sports Tidbit...The Blackhawks just fired Denis Savard after notching the first win of the season. Not after two hideous showings in New York and Washington, or the home shootout loss to Nashville...but a win. If this is any sort of barometer, Lovie Smith will be squibbing the ball all f***ing afternoon.-Minnesota, Chicago, and Green Bay tied atop the division. Did someone say THREE WAY?!?!?!
-I wanna make sure I got this straight. There were only two places the Falcons could have thrown the ball at the end of last week's game, on either sideline around the Bears' 30. Now, I've never played the game, don't act like I ever had, and would be a horrendous coach...but wouldn't it be smart to prevent those two options? Throw a grenade into the middle of the field to clear space, I don't care...let them run like little boys in church in the middle of the field.-Kyle Orton is actually showing signs of being a guy who doesn't suck at most of life. So...happy day for that.-Oh look, Roddy Smith just caught another 20-yard pass with Tillman 8 yards behind him taking a crap.Good Luck, Kyle...and Bear Down.

As bad as we've looked at times and as much as we've given games away, Cliff Levingston is predicting a win. The Vikings can run the ball but our defense has been doing a great job at stopping the run this season. Cliff Levingston expects Turner to be an idiot as usual early and run the ball into Pat Williams' massive gut too much, but then once he realizes that it's not working, he'll hand the reigns to Orton who'll lead us to victory. The Vikings' pass defense isn't that good, and after St. Clair contained Abraham last week, Cliff Levingston isn't too worried about Allen.

I'm also on the win side. I think the Vikings are overrated (and they're just rated average) I expect a big game on both sides of the ball. The defense will step up now that they've cost us two games.

Nice game thread. I've never seen that B&W photo before. A slalom @ Soldier Field? WTF ?
I'm predicting a win as well but I'll say if we're going to be concentrating on stopping AP (like we were focusing on Turner last week), it could be a big day for Berrian especially with our corners dinged up. Our defensive line already had trouble getting to the QB and it's not going to get any easier against the Vikes' quality line.

Some people should stop trying to be funny.

lol Roddy White.
Now if we don't physically abuse Gus Frerotte, I'll be pissed.

Well, not everyone can match your unbelievably high level of humor. I bow to you, Susan, what with your increasingly funny jokes about how there's nothing wrong with this team and we should stop being pessimistic. You are a comedic God among men. It's a shame you aren't a writer for that comedic gem Two And A Half Men. Your type of humor would fit in great.

This would have been funnier if you put each sentence in a different colored font.

No, see, that's something I keep in the first post. If you hadn't notice, with whatever game thread I make, I do that. You could take a gander on the Blackhawks board and see likewise, the Brewers board, too. You see, that's what I do, because I can, because I'm funnier than you are.
But hey, if you don't like it, then might I suggest posting another thread about your optimism?

I enjoyed the game thread but Roddy Smith = Roddy White
This is a HUGE game for the Bears. We can't lose this game at home. Berrian is going to have his third straight 100 yard game i think against us. Anyone know who's playing and who's not yet? This secondary could be looking pretty bad.

Bears should be able to contain Peterson this time around. However, I'm worried they let Gus Ferrote do what Matt Ryan did to us last week. Hopefully they don't. Ferrote isn't very good.
The Bears need this win in the worst way. Indy should take care of GB, and if they do, a win would put us back in sole possession of first place in the NFC North.
Bears 27-17.
Forte 17 carries 50 yards 1 TD 6 catches 55 yards
Orton 275 yards 2 TD 1 INT
Peterson 22 carries 90 yards 1 TD
Ferrotte 225 yards 1 TD 2 INT

We need better corner play and less predictable Defensive cover calling
Id even look at starting Manning @ SS (or even give Steltz some thought..............The D needs some new blood helping in pass coverage)----Keep MB at FS of course
Play the best man-up corners 1/2 the game
Im sure a couple of our new guys are better man-up than Tillman /Vasher--------We're paying them a lot, but they need to be able to man-up and take their guys out better
Where is Buenning??----would love to see him, should be an upgrade over Garza................open things up a little more for Forte
Bears 24
Biqueens 9

So this is the latest injury report:
OutDaniel Manning
Brandon Lloyd
QuestionableCharles Tillman
Nathan Vasher
Nick Roach
Trumaine McBride
ProbableTommie Harris
Israel Idonije
Marcus Harrison
Rashied Davis
Marty Booker
Brad Maynard

OutDavid Herron
QuestionableBernard Berrian
Sidney Rice
Erin Henderson
Madieu Williams
Source:
http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnf ... id=4185743If Berrian doesn't play then the Vikings are really in trouble. The Bears run defense has been dominate this year and I don't think that Gus Frerotte can beat us through the air without Berrian.

boy you guys are really banged up
Berrian i think will go, since its his old team, but man that would be bad for the vikes if he can't
don't really have a lot of wr's to fall back on
and if you don't get pressure on Gus i'll be surprised, since the lions had like 5 sacks last week

Both Tillman and Vasher are inactive. That's not good. We could handle one but not both. This will be a really tough game. Our DL and our offense will need to step up.
I'm surprised at Vasher...
