Pros - Offense (minus Booker), special teams, defense forcing TOs. Ok fine, I'll include Booker for that 50 yard TD.

Cons - everything else about the defense, injuries, Booker's dropped TDs.

It sucks that Clark cost Orton a TD, though. 3 TDs looks so much better then 2.

Orton's stats for today: 21/32 283 yards 2 TD 0 INT. (could have had 5 TDs. Seriously) 114.5 QB rating.

On the year: 1669 yards 10 TD 4 INT 143-230 62.2% 7.3 yards/attempt 91.4 QB rating.

On pace for: 3814 yards 23 TD 9 INT. That's a near-pro bowl caliber year.

What a fun game to watch. I personally enjoy these more than the 3-0 slobber-knockers anyday.

MVP of the game has to be a tossup between Kyle Orton, Minny's special teams, and Gus Frerotte.

Orton continues his hot streak - if you're not a believer at this point, I don't know what else you're looking for. I think there were all of 2 throws that had me barking but - other than that - he goes 21/32 for 283yds, 2TDs, and no picks. Should have been even better if not for Marty Booker who helped redeem himself somewhat with a long TD scoot later. Meanwhile, Frerotte throws 4 (!) picks and the Vikes' special teams allows 2 touchdowns with simply bone-headed plays. Throw in some questionable Minnesota coaching that had them kicking away from Hester on kickoffs that allowed us awesome field position early. Have you not heard, Minny? Hester's not getting the holes he was getting last year. Took them a few kickoffs to change that philosophy.

We had no right to win this game with Vasher, Tillman, D Manning and, later, Corey Graham out for our secondary. I'm not surprised we gave up 41 pts given the injuries but I AM surprised we're capable of putting up 48.

WOW.

Our OL did really well in pass protection vs Williams/Williams/Allen. Just 2 sacks allowed. Didn't do anything in the running game, but no one runs on the Vikings.

I'm a bit worried about the run game, but as long as we're winning I could care less.

Now the defense is another thing. At least Gus likes to throw picks, or else I think we could of easily gave up a lot more points.

Special teams was great. I hope Devin Hester's injury is not serious.

Minnesota has a great run defense, but yeah, they stuffed Forte pretty good. The defense gave up an obscene amount of points, but they still made some big plays getting a sack and then the pick at the end of the game. Still who'd have thought the offense would carry this team and the defense would be so bad.

Rhodes TD. Colts up 7-3.

I thought Orton would surprise people, but I meant that by thinking he wouldn't suck.

I was expecting a 2800 yard, 16 TD, 12 INT type season. But wow, just wow.

I haven't heard Ogunleye's name called out in a fortnight and he'll be 32. Mark Anderson hasn't had a sack in 17 games now after that amazing rookie season. We're getting noooooo pressure on the QB for the most part. Puts big time pressure on the coverage.

We aren't getting help from the Colts.

In retrospect, I heard Alex Brown's name called ALL day. He was beasting out there.

I still think we should go OL(Where there is a ton of good prospects) or a WR(Michael Crabtree/Jermery Maclin I'm looking at you guys) for Kyle Orton to throw. If we had someone in there for Marty Booker who could of caught those two TDs, it could of just as easily blown them out.

I still can't believe our offense put up all those points. Hard to believe we very possibly could see the play-offs--I love our division

I agree with Chewie that we should draft a defensive lineman with our first pick. Our pass rush has been very bad this year, especially compared to past years. Our o-line hasn't been that bad this year, and we still have Chris Williams to improve it. While we could use a good WR, Brandon Lloyd looked damn good before he got inured, Devin Hester has been improving, and Rashied Davis hasn't been that bad. I would take a D lineman with our first pick and a WR with our 2nd pick. With 3rd I'd like to see the Bears take a linebacker to replace Hunter Hillimeyer, and we could use some more guys for our banged up secondary. After watching the game today, I want the Bears to draft more defensive players than offensive players.

Not to mention we drafted Earl Bennett in the 3rd rd this year. Granted, he hasn't even sniffed the field to date which is alarming...

He played today, didn't have a catch but he was on the field. And he contributes on special teams.

Not to mention, the curve of wide receivers is insane. They are by far the last ones to adjust to the NFL. Bernard Berrian was here for three years before he even did anything.

Also, I have to give Ron Turner props for going No huddle. I think that's a big part of why our offensive line doesn't suck as much because the dline is getting tired and the backers don't blitz as much. They still can't run block to save their lives though.

Someone should tell that to Falcon's 3rd rd pick Harry Douglas who burned us for 5/96 last week! He was taken 84th overall to Bennett's 70th.

Bennett - meanwhile - has been inactive for 4 of our 7 games even with Lloyd and Hester missing some time due to injury.

Bears lead the NFL in points. Wow. (4th in pts/game)

A rookie wide receiver taken in the 3rd round not contributing isn't alarming. Only 5 of the top 20 receivers(taken in the 1st 4 rounds) taken in the draft have even reached double digit catches and we're in week 7.

We'll agree to disagree. I can't speak for the situation with those other teams but it's not only that Bennett is not contributing - he's not doing anything offensively (0 catches/4 inactives) and he's doing it for a team that has injuries at the position and didn't have anywhere near all-pro talent at the position to begin with.

Bennett disappointed the coaches in camp/preseason as a receiver and looked bad in his tryout as a punt returner and now he has to ride it out until he's the absolute last remaining option. Brandon Rideau is probably higher up on the wide receiver depth chart at this point. So, yeah, you can color me disappointed. The next positive thing Lovie has to say about Bennett will be the first.

Didn't he return a punt for a TD in preseason?
