Its sad... and we're still tied for first. 3 way tie now..

Ok, I'll stop being positive. This team doesn't deserve to have fans that think positive about them.

We've got an easy as hell schedule left... but even if we get to the playoffs we're gonna get smoked by whoever we play.

We need to draft all defensive players but two next year, one WR and one OL.

The sequence that ended the first half speaks VOLUMES about our coaching.

-1st down with Bears at their own 7 : Packers have to burn their 1st timeout as they don't have enough men on the field after which Bears attempt a fly route incomplete to Hester. He was well covered and we commit a false start to boot.
-1st down with Bears at their own 3: Forte rushes for 6 yds. Pack calls 2nd time out. Seemed fruitless at the time as it seemed obvious we'd just run out the clock, RIIIIGHT ?
-2nd down: WRONG. Bears try the very same Hester fly pattern that didn't work before. Incomplete and the clock stops. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
-3rd down: Well, heck, now we have to go for the first down and pass, RIIIGHT ? WRONG. Forte rushes for one yard and Pack uses their last timeout.
-4th down: Maynard shank = great field position for the Pack and 3 points.

Granted 3 points in the grand scheme of the final score seems trivial to point out but this is just basic coaching stuff. That's 3 points and momentum heading into the locker room at the half that should never have happened. All on Lovie there.

That's the first game I turned off before it was over since the Airzona MNF game.

Your team loses by 30 and you want to place any kind of blame on the officials.

Yeah, that's just uncalled for and just overall bad English. Why don't you leave us alone? I could make an argument that we've consistently beat you on your own field but I'm already pretty angry over this loss.

We need a WR, a OL, and some defensive help.

Oh, can we draft coaches too? That might help.

Pure gold? The posters on your board were complaining about an NFL conspiracy theory just last week. You guys were saying how the NFL was out to get you because of the whole Brett Favre situation. I can go find it if you want. And I'm not blaming this loss all on the officials but they were pretty awful.

viewtopic.php?f=161&t=849316
I said earlier in the year that I wonder if the league sent out a memo to the officials to put the Packers behind the 8ball the season by being extra flag happy on them due to the Favre situation.

The only thing that makes me think that is the fact Packers almost every game have been called for a bunch of bogus/touchy penalties while the opponet gets like 2 flags the entire game thrown on them.

I know some will say no the refs just suck but i'd have an easier time buying that if the flags didnt go agianst the Packers 90% of the time.

It just seems fishy to me because so many of the penalites have been questionable/touchy and the opponet gets like 2 flgs thrown the entire game.

The Defense needs to check their hearts right now. It so @$$-backwards. One week stop a predominantly running team and get beat in the air by a wanker like Kerry Collins. Then today to get beat by a team of wankers (by air and esp. ground) with ugly @$$ uniforms (not like wearing all white was all that pretty either but its better than yellow and green). Lovie needs not only hold these players accountable, but his staff as well.

I have to say, the coaching staff, imo, has been too egotistical since the Super Bowl. I think they've been given way too much rope, and it needs to be retracted and pressure needs to be reapplied from the top of the Bears brass. They shelled out all this $$$ on the D, got super CHEAP on the Offense (which for the most part has done well with whats on there), and this team is standing at 5-5. To me, its very bizarre, since the D would have more of a break (time wise) with an offense looking better than it did last year. If this D is all that and a bag of blazin hot Doritos, and they're under performing, its the player(s) or the staff not getting it done, and a change is needed (i.e. cuts or change in schemes).

BTW, I still think we're going to need to bring in an established QB after the season, but hey, wtf do I know (Grossman is done. McNabb will be leaving PHL, you can book it! K.O. is a great backup. I think D-Mac would work really well with our TEs, since typically he loves throwing to him with a lot of zip on the ball).

I'm still optimistic overall. I think this is a wake up call (if not, then forget all that talk about playoffs and winning the division of course). I think the BEARS take the next Minny Game and the final Packer game as well (which, IMO, will be for the Division Crown).

Nope that's Bavich's job and I stated "fire the staff"
The refs didn't affect the outcome but they were awful.

Good post. Except for the Orton part.

He's a legit starter, easily. He's doing all this with no real WRs, too. I've seen nothing from him that says that he isn't the Bears QB for the next decade if he stays healthy.

Someone comes over here and makes a comment that's right, and it's considered trolling? Okay then. Touchy bunch for sure.

Considering most of the Packers board is Bucks fans, it's also hypocritical. And this is coming from a fellow Bucks fan.

The Bears picked quite possibly the worst game of the year to not even bother showing up. They couldn't win the division today, but they could have come very close to pushing Green Bay out of it and they not just blew it, they didn't even care enough to blow it. I can't agree with bad refereeing on this one, this was just a brutal, horrendous game wherever you look.

This game leads me to believe that either Bob Babich has Alzheimer's or is dumb as f***, maybe both. It wasn't that hard to see that in the first half the Packers were running the ball in a passing formation. And personally, I loved the first touchdown pass to Jennings in the man-to-man formation, a defense which essentially gives the receiver 5-yards on a slant route, and all the Packers needed was 2 yards for a touchdown. Terrific!

Pass rush? No? Let's roll those dice the next 6 weeks and see how fast the Bears can hit 3rd place.

This game isn't the end of the world, it's now a 6 game sprint to the finish. But I don't know how anyone, even Susan, can look at this game and not be concerned with what they saw. I can't think of one single aspect of this team that was good, and that's really hard to do, even in losses. The Bears had a great opportunity, coupled with the Vikings losing, to snag the driver's seat and they dry heaved.

Well, whatever you admit it or not, the comment was in fact just trying to add insult to injury ontop of just being a really awful handed remark. If it has a chance of starting a fight, it's considered trolling. It has to be like sportsmanship 101 to not rub the win in. Ya know what I mean?

Seriously, say the Bears win against the Packers when we play them at Soldier field and I go to your board and make a comment, quoting one of your posters(basically calling him out) and being like "well, we won by so and so margin." or w/e, you would be mad too.

If someone from another team wants to come over and post some meaningful analysis - post away. You can take posts of the "pure gold" variety and shove them way up deep where the sun don't shine. We're pissed off enough at the score - no need to rub it in by ridiculing a fan that wanted to vent on the refs.
