Early Prediction: Only 3 WR to go in the first round

I've been noodling with a WR only mock draft which is almost complete (no I have NOTHING better to do thank you very much). I've noticed that most mock drafts have 5-6 WRs going in the first round. What's interesting about that is that most teams drafting in the top half of the draft in the 1st and second rounds don't have receiver high on their depth charts.

Given the bust rates of WRs taken high, I am think that teams that everyone thinks could go WR high in round one - Oakland, Jacksonville, Cincinnati, Cleveland - could all skip WR and still basically be able to grab one of the top 4-6 picks at that position when they select in the 2nd round. I could even see Crabtree dropping to San Fran - then seeing 2 more WR getting plucked near the end of the 1st round.
Even teams like the Giants & Dolhins that have a need have extra picks near the top of the 2nd round (behind teams without WR as a priority) where they could wait and grab their WR.

Looking at 2008 mock drafts, many of which had 5 WR going in the 1st and none were taken - I would be surprised to see a repeat. Particularly if Holt signs with the Titans and the Giants make a deal for a WR prior to the draft.

Emperor, what WRs do you see falling to the Bears? Could we nab Nicks with our pick?

I don't think so. I could see him possibly falling out of the first round, but if the Giants and Dolphins pass on him in the 1st round I think they would most certain consider him a steal with their early second round picks (both pick ahead of us in round 2). Also if Oakland or Jacksonville passed on a WR in the 1st round they would likely jump on the best available WR in round 2 I'd be really happy if we got Robiskie at #49.
Everything I read has him as a mid to early 2nd round pick.
