What an easy schedule. The only strong teams are Pittsburgh, Minnesota, Baltimore, Atlanta (who we should have won last year), and Arizona. Of course there are always surprise teams and the easy schedule could end up being much more difficult.

I'll still say 9-7 with the team we have right now. Post draft I think WR and defensive needs will be addressed.

Too early for my prediction. Angelo's still putting the team together.

 geez. There's no way I can make a prediction without knowing home or road or what month the games are played.

Which team in our division will have a better record than 10-6?

I could see two other teams in this division with a 10-6 record.

The schedule will be announced Tuesday Night. First hour will be on ESPN2 and the next 2 hours will be on ESPN. I can't wait!

Hopefully we get a few national TV games. Our first game is already scheduled to be on Sunday Night Football. With the addition of Cutler I bet we get a few MNF games. Probably Arizona, Green Bay, and Pittsburgh

The home and away opponents have been released for some time...

2009 Bears

Home: Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals, St. Louis Rams, Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers

Away: Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals

It'll be interesting to see the complete schedule Tuesday, I think the whole Cutler thing will have the Bears on PrimeTime several times.

A couple of schedule notes...we are the only team to play the 4 conference finalsts (AZ,Philly,Pitt, Ravens)

Also, we have the easiest schedule based on win percentage, thanks to playing 0-16 DET twice, and also playing 2-14 Rams, 4-12 Seahawks and Browns, 4-11-1 Bengals

I hope we don't get a Thursday Night game this year. Those suck.

Really? You predict the same record as last year, even after adding a Pro-Bowl QB and an improved offensive line? You must not think much of the additions, especially since the Bears could have been 11-5 last season if not for the last second play in the Atlanta game and defensive collapse at the end of the Titans game.

How many times in the past couple of years did the Bears offense throw the defense under the bus? Personally I believe Cutler will help keep the defense fresher because of many less 3 & outs among other positive effects, resulting in a much improved average time of possession.

To early for me to predict. Gotta see what other teams are going to do in the draft, trades and the remaining free agents. Would like to see what we do too...

I'm right with you Cliff; 11-5 is what I am thinking.

I'll say 10-6 at the worst. I think depending on Cutler's performance, this could be the making of a SB bound team or just a return to the playoffs, out in the wild card game, team. Either way, its been a long time to have been excited about this Bears team since 2006 and somewhat in 2007 (thanks to Hester).

I say 12-4. We were a 9-7 team last year that lost a lot of close games.

We substantially upgraded our quarterback, o-line, and d-line.(2 solid rooks, ogunleye contract year, harris healthy(?), and they really underperformed last year). We have an easy schedule. Our WR should be better with Hester getting another year and hopefully one of the 4 new WR(Bennet included) is solid.

I don't know if we really have that easy of a schedule because teams in 2009 are different in 2008. The main reason why we have an easy schedule is because we play the Lions twice, but I expect them to be better than last year.(Draft picks, new coach, underperformed last year, ect.). In fact, I also expect Green Bay and Minnesota to be better. Green Bay's defense should be better and Minnesota always seemed to be going through something last year.

I'm feeling good about the Bears. I'm trying to be a realist but I realize that I'm being optimistic.

This is an 11-5 team.

I'm on record.
