Wildcats everywhere?? (AKA:NoSkyy's Hot Asian Women)

Post#1 » by emperorjones » Fri Jun 5, 2009 5:21 pm

What do you guys think of the Wild Cat? Do you think there will be a flood of teams doing it this year as seems to be the case from what's leaking out of OTA's around the league? Will there be an effective defense?

I don't think it will be effective this year as I think every defense will adjust. Seems like a good play when its a "surprise" but once you know its in the bag & have a defense planned for it I don't think it would be any harder to defend than a reverse. I hope the Vikings run it.

It shouldn't be too hard to defend. Has anyone ever thrown the ball out of the wildcat?

Quite a few actually. They have a lot of variations like, where Ronnie Brown threw it to the TE, where they ran a reverse, flipped it to the QB and he threw it, or a WR reverse and the WR threw it to the QB(he actually caught it.) I'm sure there was more but those were the big plays and first time we saw them.

Heh. I sense a definite theme with your avatars.

Wait, aren't we supposed to be talking wildcat offense?

Sorry 'bout that. I actually agree with your sentiments. We'll see it this coming year but it'll be less effective given defenses will be ready.

Well...I guess I'd rather talk about Hot Asian Women that Nosky uses for his avatar now that I think about it.
