Is this dude going to land with a team? I know he had a drop off year in 2008 but he's still better than a lot of #2 receivers on any team you can name...

Yeah, I know he's been in trouble lately, but so have a lot of players. I haven't heard of any team interested in him. Does he still think he's worth a ton of $ and that's what's holding up any negotiations with a team?

No thanks, Harrison is toast. Cliff Levingston would much rather see our young guys get the experience they'll need to improve.

I'm too afriad to say anything about him in fear he'll send someone to shoot me. Even though apparently whoever he sends out can't get the job done

Dungy: Harrison Would Fit With Bears

Tony Dungy isn't necessarily saying the Chicago Bears need help at receiver, but if Lovie Smith were to ask Dungy about Marvin Harrison, the endorsement would be strong.

"I think he definitely can play, and I would encourage Lovie to sign him if they had an opening," Dungy said Wednesday on the "Waddle & Silvy" show on ESPN 1000.

Dungy coached Harrison for seven seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. Dungy retired last year and is an NBC analyst. The 36-year-old Harrison is an eight-time Pro Bowl selection, and the free agent is waiting to catch on with a team.

"Marvin can play the game," Dungy said. "Marvin can get open and catch the ball.

"Marvin's whole thing is precision. He's a guy who needs work in a system."

I don't want to say I'm pannicking after 1 preseason game even without Forte and Olsen, but that was damn scary last Saturday.

Obi Harrison, you're my only hope

I'm no expert on the game, so don't stress too much about what I say, but I wouldn't mind giving him a shot. After Hester, Davis and Bennett we have a couple of rookies and some pretty average guys. Harrison has lost a step, but the guy knows how to play the game. Even if he can't contribute on the field, having our other WR's around him at practice every day would have to help.

You look at what we have now and it's just not going to scare anyone. We kept 6 WRs on the active roster last year and I imagine that's not going to change this year. Of the players currently on the roster, I'm guessing the players below in bold are the ones that stick :

They'll probably try to hide Kinder during the preseason and put him on the taxi squad. That's up there with the Raiders for the worst receiving corps in the league. It's full of potential - sure - but Cutler's ready now. Don't be shocked if Davis gets beat out by Aromashodu, either, and that would only make us that much more inexperienced.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if they just gave Rideau the heave-ho and go after Harrison or Matt Jones. We're just another bad preseason game or two or injury away from that happening.

This is pretty much the same point I was trying to make, but better presented and in more detail. We have some nice young talent and potential, but no one who you can really count on this year. Adding a vet or two who can play, like Harrison, would be a nice addition this season.

Y'all should consider Harrison retired, and he's not like Favre and itching to get attention and come back. I won't usurp or deny Dungy but I've talked to people who know Harrison and the basic theme is that he's done and okay with being done. Besides he was not very good last year, lost more than a step in his game.

and yes I am scared that he'll read my negativity post and send someone to hunt me like prey!
