I'll take it. I've watched a lot of Notre Dame football this year(my friend goes there/tries to get me to go to games. I try to see if it's worth it) and the offense is pretty amazing at Dame. There is no doubt that he is a good offensive coordinator.

I don't like him one bit. Call it personal, whatever.

Nope. I'm assuming he's gone but Weis would be my last choice as a replacement.

When Weis left New England the offense didn't skip a beat. I think his impact on that offense is pretty exaggerated. No thanks.

I don't think anyone mentioned New England. Basically, from what I've seen at Notre Dame, when he calls the plays, the offense actually does well and performs(at least to a Bears fan. Obviously, I wouldn't know what the hell offense playing calling is because either the Bears don't do **** with the ball or they get burned for long, shouldn't happen in a regular game touchdowns)

I think the offense personnel has also changed a lot in New England too. You can't just say they added Randy Moss and Wes Welker and haven't skipped a beat. They added Randy Moss and Wes Welker. That's a huge difference. They haven't missed a beat since McDaniels left either(well, sort of but that might be indictive of Brady more than anything) but no one is going to bash him for not being a good offensive coach(Orton stopped sucking right?)

Moss is an upgrade, that is true. But Welker is severely overrated. He's a solid wideout that's looked much better in the system he's in. Much like Kyle Orton.

At Notre Dame, he had two of the better players in the country in Clausen and Tate. That certainly helps an offense.

All I'm saying is that I feel Weis' accomplishments as an offensive coordinator with the Pats are exaggerated. He worked under arguably one of the greatest coaches of our generation. And the personnel has been like a revolving door in New England aside from Belichick and Brady, and nothing's changed there.

While I don't know or watch enough about New England to argue past anything other than Wes Welker is a good fantasy Wide Reciever, I will take execption to this point. Coming in, I don't think Clausen or Tate showed enough promise to show us or warrant anyone to think they're capable of having this season. I think a lot of that has to do with the development offered by Weis and his staff to these players and helping putting them in the best position to succeed. When watching Clausen, one particular thing that stands out to me is that when nothing is there, he throws away. That is something that you don't see in college normally and it really helped his accuracy and to lower his interception rate. I think having Weis being able to mentor and give Jay Cutler some advice(instead of having him argue with Ron Turner) would do wonders.

Who? I don't want Martz anywhere near this team. The guy is a certifiable train wreck since the STL Ram days.
