Livid Bears fans have had enough and demanding change. They have undertaken a tremendous effort to put forth a two-part campaign. One is a 24' x 12' billboard on a semi-major 4-lane pass-way near the Arlington Heights/Wheeling border. Use of the billboard was donated by a Bears fan. Another Bears fan who runs a billboard design company is designing, installing, and removing a sign at cost ($3,000). Yet another Bears fan who is a website designer has designed the site. The Sun-Times will be running a full page Ad for $4,5000 (circulation 300,000+). So all in all, Bear Fans United are attempting to raise around $7,500. Any additional money will be donated to Cutler's diabetes charity.
The Ad's will ask for the firing of Jerry Angelo, Lovie Smith, and Ron Turner.

If you want to donate and make your voice heard, go to www.bearfansunited.org. Any donation, whether it's $1.00 or $100.00 would go a long long way. The ad's will be run on December 28th, the day the Bears play the Vikings on MNF. It should gain national media nation and will, in all likelyhood, be mentioned on the telecast.

Post it on your Facebook, twitter account, tell your friends, family, co-workers, etc.

Any additional money will be donated to a charity. Oh, good. Yeah, people are starving, charities are in need---but no, taking out a full page ad. Yeah, there's the cause that needs the green.

Great news. The more public outrage there is, the more likely the McCaskey's will be willing to pull the trigger on this to prevent a drop in revenue next season.

But there's plenty of public outrage already. Even though Sweet Virginia is older than Yellowstone, she's very well aware that the fans are upset. Not really any need to do this, in my mind.

I changed my mind, they should invest in a Fire Jim Hendry billboard instead after today's recent Bradley for Silva swap.

with all the curruption, fraud, and misappropriation of funds involved with many charities....this is very very very low on the list of worthless campaigns.

why don't you tell us how you spend your money that is so noble and such a beacon of civic duty. seriously let's go through your finances and account for every penny you spend -- because clearly you are in a position to tell people what they spend their hard earned money on is worthwhile and what isn't. since every penny you spend must be completely worthwhile, reveal your financial information to us so we (the worthless spenders) can develop more worthwhile spending habits.

Sure. We'll meet up for a cup of coffee. I'll bring my tax forms, you bring your exuberant sports indignation. I'm sure it'll be pleasant. Maybe we can raise up a few thousand for a billboard inviting others-- you can work on that end of it.

Well this story gets juicy. Supposedly the Walter Payton Foundation never gave permission to use Walter's name or the foundation's name. Also some other things about not having the right tax forms to operate as a non profit org and several 'members' have been approached via the radio, internet, video and have refused to provide their name. Couldn't find a link on this but it was discussed on one of the radio stations today.

The billboard ad made it to Wiretap.

Maybe the McCaskey family will take take heed to the suggestions.

Billboard Calls For Changes In Chicago
25th December, 2009 - 6:22 pm
Chicago Sun-Times - A billboard in the Chicago area is urging the Bears to fire coach Lovie Smith and general manager Jerry Angelo.

The sign, which was paid for by a group called Bears Fans United, urges the McCaskey family to fire all of them after the season.

The Bears are 5-9 with two games left and have been out of the playoff race for quite some time.

The billboard cost $3,000. [READ]
