I wouldn't quite say the defense was bad in the second half, more like the Vikes finally started playing. Give the Bear D credit though, they made some big plays.

The Bears D was awful in the 2nd half. But it was great in the 1st half and overtime.

Amusing sites seen :
At least 4 hand warming packs flying out of Aroma's pocket after making that catch at the end of regulation that should have set up the game winning field goal.
Ref helping Favre up multiple times after he got knocked down after a throw. Just wrong.

That was the opening drive in overtime.

Hey Chewie,
I just couldn't pull myself away from the game.
The pressure and tension was off the charts.
What a game.

A plea for post scoring is a plausible Bulls plan, but plainly isn't a priority. In response to a post player's dismay about his lack of points in the paint, Paxson said.... "I'm not nearly as concerned about the offensive stuff as he is."

And who actually would have predicted the Bears D showing up in OT ?? Great sack by Anderson. Just awesome.

Re: Bears/Vikings PG: Bears blow lead, win in OT
Great win that we have been starving for all season. A shame that we had to wait this long.
Good: Aromashodu - showed us why our coaching staff sucks.
Cutler - had the dumb pick, but otherwise made several clutch plays and didn't blow it in the end.
Defense early on , and then at the end.
Tommie Harris - several impact plays.
Bad: Coaching staff - not using any time outs at the end of regulation when you are talking about Brett Favre and the Vikes in the red zone. Could have given us a chance to win it at the end. Was stupid IMO.
Tillman - before he got knocked out, he was getting blown away in all phases.
AP - What happened to that guy?!!?
Gould - come on man. Laces out!
Good night all.

Heh - all is forgiven. My PC isn't right by the TV so it's a pain running back and forth - even with the ability to pause the DVR.

Let's make one thing clear, this game has no bearing on the future of Lovie or Angelo.
Now, this was probably the best win of the season. Completely meaningless. But it was a fun, exciting, thrilling win over a team they shouldn't have beaten. It changes nothing about the season. But for one night, Bears football was fun

Agreed that one game or two at the end of the season that's basically been over for weeks SHOULDN'T mean anything. You never know with this front office.

Re: Bears/Vikings PG: Bears blow lead, win in OT
It feels really good to win one of those games. Over the past few years, we've lost so many games in the last few minutes that it makes you want to cry. Hopefully this gives Cutler and the Bears confidence moving forward. That was a fun game to watch.

Re: Bears/Vikings PG: Bears blow lead, win in OT
This is the 1st time in a while where Cutler had time to throw.
This win means nothing in the long term but it was nice to be reminded of what a good win feels like. I won't erase this game off my DVR until training camp 2010.

It really makes all the difference in the world - along with having a little chemistry/timing with your WRs.
I will admit Cutler had all day to throw when he threw his one pick in tonight's game though.

Re: Bears/Vikings PG: Bears blow lead, win in OT
I should have put the offensive line in my good column. They played much better tonight and Cutler had a ton of time to throw. Chris Williams did an excellent job on Jared Allen. I only heard Allen's name once or twice tonight.

BEARS WIN BEARS WIN! WTF!
Good stat lines:
Cutler 273 yards passing, 4tds, 1INT, 10 yards rushing.
Aromashodu: 7 Recs, 150 yards 1TD
Hillenmeyer - 15 tackles, 1 FF, I remember 1 PD, could have been more.
Mediocre
Olsen - 3rec 47yards 1 TD(disappeared after first half)
Forte - 21 rushes, 74 yards

TheO line did a much, much better job of blocking tonight. It was great to see what Cutler can do with time, but as stated....nothing changes the fact that changes are needed at GM and Head Coach.

Wow! Big Time yardage. He should figure prominently in the offense next year.

Chris Williams had the best game of his early career against arguably the best pass rusher in the game. Great job by him.
