Frye traded

Post#1 » by TheOUTLAW » Wed Sep 12, 2007 12:00 am

I can't say I didn't see it coming, but the timing is a bit of a shocker. The Browns unload Frye to clear room for who? I say Anderson still starts, but I wouldn't be shocked if it were Quinn or even (gasp) Ken Dorsey.

From what I've been told Anderson will start this week but Quinn will get on the field some if he proves he's ready in practice. Dorsey is the #3 for the rest of the season and okay with that. I would put good money that Quinn starts the OAK game in Week 3.

it won't matter if the line doesn't learn how to block. The team was awful in every aspect of the game sunday, including punting.

The problem was more of coordination of the line than it was being able to block. they seemed to get confused by the array of blitzes that the Steelers used. That's why there were so many different people that got sacks.

Looks like Anderson earned himself the starting job for the next few games at least. Good news for everyone really.

well, that was certainly a nice shock. In 7 days, going from looking so awful to having their best offensive performance in team history.

a historic afternoon for the Browns, who had a 300-yard passer, a 200-yard rusher and two 100-yard receivers (Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow) for the first time since joining the NFL in 1950.
