Do you guys think that if the dolphins Sent you 2 round (30 Overall) and 5th Round pick and 3 Round next year for Derek you guys Accept? I think that is Fair value. 30 overall in most year is the last pick of the first round.

I'd want a 1st but the 1st overall pick is a rip off for us...
I'd think a 3rd and 5th this year and a 1st next year would work...

Cleveland's QB situation kind of reminds me of San Diego's a few years ago. Doesn't it? You think San Diego still wants Rivers?

doesn't it HAVE to be a 1st and 3rd, or can it be anything the team who has the commodity (in this case, the Browns) demands?

I was also thinking it had to be a 1st and a 3rd. Well I guess unless we outright resign him and then trade him... Actually I dont know a ton about the NFL contract rules so maybe Im way off base.

Depends on what type of tender we put on; there are various types of tenders...

If someone signs Anderson after we give him the max tender then it has to be a 1st and 3rd this year. If they negotiate a trade with us, it can be whatever is negotiated in the trade.

It pretty much goes without saying that the Browns give Anderson the max tender. It's really not that much money. I am using NFL terms by the way, It'd be a heckuva lot of money to me.

They will tender him with 1st and 3rd but you dont have to make the team give that up.Last year Wes welker was tendered with a Second Round pick and The pat said will send you 2 round pick and 7 round pick so you can sign him and trade him to us.So if miami offers 30 overall pick and 3 round this year i think Cleveland can resign Derek and send him to miami...not completely sure but i think thats how it works.

The part you said about Welker is right--the Dolphins put a 2nd round tender but negotiated a trade for something else with the Pats, with the side benefit that the Pats take the full cap hit for signing him to a new deal.
Cleveland will absolutely put the 1st and 3rd tender on him, and you'd better believe they'll get
at least that in return for Anderson. My somewhat informed guess would be a top 10-range 1st and 3rd this year and a 2nd or 3rd next year.
One scenario I heard on a radio show (I forget which one) that sounds sensible and doable:
Miami trades down from the #1 overall pick and winds up with a pick in the 5-8 range. I believe the deal was with the Bears, but it was all hypothetical anyways. They would deal that pick, their 3rd round pick, and next year's second to Cleveland for Anderson, Chaun Thompson, and the Browns 3rd rounder this year.

Icness do you happen to have any clues yet on what teams are going to go after DA? Or have any other Browns related rumors floating around?

Right now the Browns are very busy negotiating with Romeo Crennel and evaluating defensive linemen for the draft, as well as figuring out what they can pay to whom in terms of extensions and renegotiations adn manipulating the cap. They're not really fielding trades, nor are other teams yet. All that stuff starts at the Senior Bowl but really gets fired up in Indy at the Combine. And I will be there!

With the way Anderson's contract is structured with bonuses being half this year and half next year -- Anderson could still be trade bait on draft day or just after the draft by a quarterback hungry team that was disappointed in the draft. I wouldn't be disappointed if the Browns kept him either.
