Re: 2009 Bengals Schedule
Thanks again for posting this Cohiba. I've been lazy about it the entire time, but here's my analysis:
-This Cincy team is just not going to beat Baltimore or Pittsburgh this year. It's a harsh reality, but those two teams showed last year that they're the conference's best two.
-I don't like Cleveland at all but I can't see anything other than a split. I'll take a home-and-home.
-Playing the NFC North is no cakewalk; I see the Bengals as splitting those games, beating CHI and DET but losing to GB and MIN (both away...ouch!)
-I think Denver will win four games or fewer this year. Josh McDaniels, IMO, has taken them in the exact opposite direction from where they were.
So, accordingly, bolded games are wins:
So, 7-9, but 5-4 coming off the bye week. Good for third place in the AFC North, ahead of the Browns.
I have them pegged for two road wins; the Raiders are an inferior team (though Cincy, by my count, would be 2-7 by that point) and the Jets have to prove they're for real with either Sanchez or Kellen Clemens. (As a Duck, I'd love to see Kellen take that starting job, but I don't think it'll happen.) It helps, of course, having your actual quarterback for the season, spending draft picks on his protection, and then making the defense more potent.

Re: 2009 Bengals Schedule
I'm a little more optimistic. although the number 7-9 with out looking at the schedule seems very reasonable.
I think we can get 1 at best of the 4 games vs Bal/Pit. We usually play them tough, I say we squeak one out. I also think we win one of Hou/GB/Min. So overall I have them pegged for 9-7, Best case scenario. If I had to pick a record though, I would put what little money I have on 8-8.
