Meriweather wont be there in the 2nd where we pick, best bet is to trade up in the 2nd round if we want him... Rather have Anthony Spencer over Jarvis Moss... (which we could trade down in the 1st to get) but if Reggie Nelson is there @ 21 and we dont take him, the front office made a big mistake....

49ers could dictate Denver pick.
It appears the 49ers are looking at Nebraska defensive end Adam Carriker for their top pick. That will interest Denver, which is studying the lineman known for his pass-rushing skills and high motor. If Carriker is gone, Denver, which has the No. 21 pick, could zone in on Purdue defensive end Anthony Spencer, a pass rusher on the rise.
It will be interesting to see if Mississippi inside linebacker Patrick Willis lasts until the 49ers' pick at No. 11. If so, they likely will take him. Detroit also is interested in trading down from No. 2 and taking Willis.

denver post knows nothing more then any of us about what Shanny is going to do in this draft... but I will guarentee you he isnt looking at carriker.... last thing we need is a 290 pound Defensive end who struggles at getting to the qb....

Anderson has bust written all over him, but I doubt we stay @ 21... Shanahan will move up if a player slides out of the top 10 just like he did last year (dont be suprised if he makes a run at Patrick Willis) but Ill take Anthony Spencer in the late 1st and be happy with it.. still Im not counting out Reggie Nelson though.

Here's my two cents, based on the latest news articles I've read. The Broncs want Calvin Johnson at #2, and are looking to trade up to get him. Detroit is interested in Patrick Willis, MLB, and may be willing to trade the pick if they can get multiple players to immediately shore up their defense.
SO, trade scenario - Broncs give the #21 and a 2nd rounder to Detroit for the #2 pick. I know it doesn't match up on the "points" scale, but it gives detroit some salary relief and two high picks. Gives the Broncos the player they want, and we can shore up the defensive line AND safety position in the third round, where we have two picks.
Thoughts?

man... I would be so happy if Denver landed the best WR prospect in NFL history, and The best player in this draft.. I know we would be giving the house, But that is what I expected. a 1st 2nd 3rd and a future 1st round next year (32nd overall), it is alot.. but it is worth it, and if you want to Make a move on an ELITE prospect that comes around every lets say once every 10 years.. you do it. Jwalk, and CJ along with Brandon Marshall in the slot with Cutler throwing to them? smh thats just unfair
