Let's keep Broncos Draft talk here. Who you think they should pick, where certain guys will go, who fits and who doesn't.

The Draft will take place on April 28th and 29th. Here's the Broncos' pick breakdown:

Round 1 - 21 (21)
Round 2 - 24 (56)
Round 3 - 6 (70)
Round 3 - 23 (86)
Round 6 - 2 (176)
Round 7 - 23 (233)

^^ We have 2 picks in Round 6 now, because we got our 2nd one back from the Wilkinson (sp?) trade with the Dolphins. I believe it's the 183th overall.

I really believe the Broncos should go with:

1st: Jarvis Moss
2nd Brandon Meriweather
3a Eric Weddle
3b John Wendling
6th Kasey Studdard
7th Brandon Myles

I doubt Weddle will be around in the 3rd round, and if he is, sweet.

Say it with me.."pass rush, pass rush, pass rush"

Agreed. We'd be better off taking Moss or Carriker (if he's around) and then picking up Weddle. I think we need the depth at safety as much as we do the D line. I wouldn't be opposed to picking up another 3rd round MLB, either, since Wilson is on the block....

Meriweather wont be there in the 2nd where we pick, best bet is to trade up in the 2nd round if we want him... Rather have Anthony Spencer over Jarvis Moss... (which we could trade down in the 1st to get) but if Reggie Nelson is there @ 21 and we dont take him, the front office made a big mistake....

Carriker's projection is all over the place. I've seen him going in the 10-15 range, and I've seen him sliding past us. I can't see the Broncos passing on him if he's there, but Shanahan always seems to have a set opinion on certain guys that he doesn't waver from.

It looks like Carriker's stock is rising, so I think there's a good chance he's not around when the Broncos are on the clock.

Bates relys on a speed rusher coming off the edge (far from what cariker is) rather have spencer or moss over carriker.

49ers could dictate Denver pick.

It appears the 49ers are looking at Nebraska defensive end Adam Carriker for their top pick. That will interest Denver, which is studying the lineman known for his pass-rushing skills and high motor. If Carriker is gone, Denver, which has the No. 21 pick, could zone in on Purdue defensive end Anthony Spencer, a pass rusher on the rise.

It will be interesting to see if Mississippi inside linebacker Patrick Willis lasts until the 49ers' pick at No. 11. If so, they likely will take him. Detroit also is interested in trading down from No. 2 and taking Willis.

denver post knows nothing more then any of us about what Shanny is going to do in this draft... but I will guarentee you he isnt looking at carriker.... last thing we need is a 290 pound Defensive end who struggles at getting to the qb....

Well, we're about a week out. What do we see them doing? Staying with the picks they have? Moving up? Moving down and depth-drafting? If anything, I have a feeling we try to get more picks before we'll move up.

I really think the right thing to is move down from 21 and pick up Spencer later on.

I'm really having second thoughts on Moss I'd much rather pick up Spencer later on or trade up 5-7 spots and get Anderson.

Anderson has bust written all over him, but I doubt we stay @ 21... Shanahan will move up if a player slides out of the top 10 just like he did last year (dont be suprised if he makes a run at Patrick Willis) but Ill take Anthony Spencer in the late 1st and be happy with it.. still Im not counting out Reggie Nelson though.

Here's my two cents, based on the latest news articles I've read. The Broncs want Calvin Johnson at #2, and are looking to trade up to get him. Detroit is interested in Patrick Willis, MLB, and may be willing to trade the pick if they can get multiple players to immediately shore up their defense.

SO, trade scenario - Broncs give the #21 and a 2nd rounder to Detroit for the #2 pick. I know it doesn't match up on the "points" scale, but it gives detroit some salary relief and two high picks. Gives the Broncos the player they want, and we can shore up the defensive line AND safety position in the third round, where we have two picks.

Thoughts?

^^^We would likely have to include a 3rd and a future 1st or 2nd.

Really I've been talking about this for monthes thinking it was a pipedream but this is becoming VERY real. Cutler to CJ all day baby!

man... I would be so happy if Denver landed the best WR prospect in NFL history, and The best player in this draft.. I know we would be giving the house, But that is what I expected. a 1st 2nd 3rd and a future 1st round next year (32nd overall), it is alot.. but it is worth it, and if you want to Make a move on an ELITE prospect that comes around every lets say once every 10 years.. you do it. Jwalk, and CJ along with Brandon Marshall in the slot with Cutler throwing to them? smh thats just unfair

Yeah, I read the Calvin talk as well. It's nice we're interested, but really, who's not at least talking to Detroit? And it's sounding more and more like Oakland might snag him at #1 anyway (which makes sense - a WR is exactly what they need. They're set at QB).

well it looks like the lions trade is out of the question.
