Lelie has to repay $600,000 bonus

The Broncos and the NFL Players Association have been informed by an arbitrator that the team's grievance against wide receiver Ashley Lelie has been ruled upon, and Lelie must repay a prorated signing bonus in the $600,000 range.

Lelie, however, does not have to repay $300,000-plus in fine money he amassed while holding out from Denver's training camp last year.

NFLPA general council Richard Berthelsen said the arbitrator ruled that teams cannot get fine money after trading a player.

Lelie, who signed with San Francisco last month, previously won a grievance against Denver in November. Denver lost an appeal on that issue regarding a $220,000 roster bonus.

Move to No. 10 possible

The Broncos have been attempting to trade up in the draft all offseason. Two possible trading partners are Houston, which picks 10th on Saturday, and San Francisco, which picks 11th.
