And maybe the Commish should have a committee to take away draft picks from teams that tank a season to get the First Pick. Like when Pops tanked the Spurs so they could get Tim Duncan.

Can you blame him? The Lakers got a legit all-star caliber player in his prime for peanuts....They asked him his opinion on the trade and he gave his honest answer.

Pops is a wimp. Should the commisioner investigate the Spurs getting a top 8 rotation player like Damon Stoudimire for nothing? I am sure Orlando or Denver would have liked to sign the guy. It is unfair that the top teams get these very good players on one year deals that are looking for championships. Memphis was going no where with Gasol, so they played with in the rules of the NBA, and took the best offer. I still have not heard of a beeter offer that would provide the salary cap space that they needed. Also, the poster that brought up the Duncan "tank season' (i realize Robinson was hurt) is on point. Pop is great coach, but i think a lot o other coaches would still be coaching if they had Duncan on their team.
