Well if he's not going to get healthy then it's time to scrap the season anyway.

Very true. Let's hope he gets healthy and stays healthy.

33-19? Means we win our next eleven.. Guess you were not being serious. Even 31-21 puts us at 9-2 over the next eleven, and we're currently 7-2 over our last nine. So unless we win 16 of 20, something HAS to be done?? Doesn't seem fair. If we go 7-4 (taking us to six games over .500) I think we'll be only a game or so out of the playoffs (remember, Melo/Bynum are nicked up), leaving us 30 games to make up barely any ground.

Hell yes!

Seriously though,

@POR - W
UTA - L (we'll lose either this or Portland or GS, I just chose this one)
GS - W
@IND - W
@MIL - W
@MIN - W
CLE - W
ATL - W
POR - L
SAC - W

We SHOULD beat them all. None of them are that good. But we will lose one to Portland (of 2) I imagine, and I between GS and Utah. All the others SHOULD be in the bag, especially if we have playoff aspirations. You beat the bad teams.

Ummm, us fans used the hard schedule enough as an excuse for our crappy start so I'm going to use the easy upcoming schedule as a justification for them needing to go at least 9-2.

Yeah anything less than 9-2 is a complete disappointment and IMO an indicator if we make the playoffs or not.

last year the rockets were 25-16 at this point, only 3 more wins, we only need to win some in a row to equal last year record. 49-33 is enough to make the playoffs in the six first places of the west.

The difference is that the rest of the WC, record wise, is better this year.

Thought it'd be fun to bump this thread so people could see how their expectations were at the time. I said I'd be happy with 8-3 but they ended up going 10-1 in that stretch with the only loss when Yao was out, pretty much exceeding any realistic expectations.

Also of note is that we're only 1 game back from this point last year @33-19, except last year at this time Yao was out. It is very possible we'll exceed last year's record if we manage to stay healthy the rest of the season. But regardless of our record you have to feel better about this team than at the same point last year because this team still has a lot of untapped potentially offensively.

For the record, I was only wrong about the 2nd Portland game.
