Moutombo is the answer on defense.

Deke is gonna make us even a better defensive interior team now. he might not be able to play more then 20 minutes a night, but what he will do is lock down the keyway. use scola and landry alternatively behind deke when he is sitting.

Moutombo will make our interior defense even better now. the key is now we get landry and scola to stepup there offensive production.

You saw him tonight. He is so slow. I hope sitting out the majority of the season will give him the stamina he needs to carry on. But with only 1 star player I sure hate to be playing 4 on 5 basketball with Deke.

If and its a big if...but if we can get penetration and finishing from Jackson or Alston or even Gerald Green if he shows something in practice..we could be fine offensively. McGrady isn't gonna the space to drive even if he wanted to. But we need penetration to make up for the loss of Yao's points in the paint. We ain't gonna make 3s like we made em tonight often enough.

If he holds up the Rockets will make the playoffs for sure and they'll have a decent chance of winning the first round. The main problem this year when Yao sat down and we went small was that our interior D because nonexistent; Deke totally changes that if he can still play.

It's Mutombo (correct spelling), and yeah he will help us greatly on defense. Maybe even better than Yao, he has the intimidation factor that he has built throughout his career with #2 in blocks all-time.
