Yeah we need the beast from last season...when Yao went down he stepped up and put up 30pts, 6ast, 6reb and shot around 45% from the field. He was unstoppable, hopefully he does it this year to, last year he also ended up 5th in MVP voting.

I like what I hear from McGrady, the Rockets go as far he takes us with or without Yao. Actions speak louder than words Mac... he needs to play like the MVP he was robbed of last year.

Sounds good, T-Mac responds to the fans directly.

I'll believe it when I see it. I love Tmac, but what he says and what he does don't always match up. Granted, he didn't need to be good against Washington, but it was worrisome to see him play like utter crap against them.

we don't need tmac to score 30 pts. It's all about the team playing collectively well.

All I'm saying is this:

He says he knows he needs to drive more every game. What does he really do EVERY GAME? He settles for lots of long jumpers. Sometimes he hits, more often he doesn't. Either way, they aren't good shots. They are beautiful and incredible when they fall, but they destroy the rhythm of the team when they don't.

I don't hate on McGrady. I understand that he's under a lot of pressure. I just want him to take his own advice. We all know it'd be best for the team if he did.

Pay attention when T-Mac goes to the rack. I'd say about 20-25% of the time, he ends up in some kind of pain and wincing -- wrist, ankle, back, etc. Of course, I would love to see T-Mac goto the bucket and lay his body on the line over and over again, D-Wade style, but having T-Mac in street clothes, sitting next to Yao is not better for the team. T-Mac can only pick his spots to goto the rim because his body is made of ceramic, and it might be time to accept the long-jump-shot-shooting / facilitating Tracy.
