Don't get me wrong we have had some luck. No Dirk. No West tonight although I think not having Landry on our side carried close to the same amount of weight for us that not having West did for NO.
You don't win this many games without having some luck. But we have also been extremely good defensively. Something we are known for so its not like we are doing this with smoke and mirrors. Offensively guys are making shots...now you can decide how much of that is luck and how much of that is the fact that our guys can shoot. But it all goes back to what we do best which is defend and we have done that for all 18 games.
No no I agree completely. The Rockets have not winning with last second buzzer beaters and crap. The Rockets have been winning very much convincingly. I think Landry out of the game really evened the field for this game, and you guyses once again won convincingly.
The only game I would consider lucky is getting the magical hand of Stu Jackson to suspend Dirk for flagrantly fouling when most of the jazz fans don't think he deserves it. Taking Dirk out the Mavs team is like taking Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady out of the Rockets for one game. We both have teams that are being well coached, and the Jazz have gone into winning streaks without Boozer, and obviously you guyses keep winning without Yao, but Avery's Mavs live and die with the momentum of Dirk in the game. No Dirk, no Mavs. And at their home, where with the Jazz they have had the fewest losses of the leason, total domination, with Kidd or sans Kidd.
No offense to anyone, but having Dirk suspended for that game was luck. You still won with effort, but a 1/3 of the job was done for you by Stu. Now but the other 17 wins, to me is pure skill. I think Van Gundy made it too Yao or McGrady centric, but Adelman has succeeded of making it role centric, and when a player is out, their backup knows their role and the succeed it.
I can look at this getting to 21 easily, and yes, not luckily
