Post#1 » by T-Mic#1 » Thu Mar 13, 2008 2:52 am

Houston are now 2nd in the west, with a win vs bobcats, we will be 45-20. Judging on how the NO played tonite, Lakers have a great chance on losing at NO, then we will both be 45-20, a win on saturday's game against the lakers would put us in 1st place!!!!!!

Doesn't mean much now but we have come a far way from the 10th spot and people saying we would be the team to fall out of the playoffs.

It would be great, I don't see the Lakers losing to the Hornets though.

The next game we are going to play better you can bet on it. On this game was a lot of presure.

1. Mac guarrantee.
2. First game away since a couple of game at home.
3. No Landry once again.
4. The "20" number.
5. Memories of our recent struggles in Atlanta.
6. Memories of the championship Rockets losing their 15 game streak at Atlanta.

So even thought you say there isnt pressure, really it is in your subconscious.

Anyway we won, GO ROCKETS!

how about josh smith tonight? he killed us with somewhere around 18 rebounds or more. their defense was pretty good tonight but we made the few plays in the end to overcome. cannot wait until sunday. i would go but im going to vegas with some bros of mine and definitely saving for that.

actually.. if we win on friday, lakers lose @NO on friday, and the spurs WIN @det on friday -- it'll become a three-way tie, in which case overall record in games b/n the three teams decides the tiebreaker. we're 3-2, spurs are 3-3, and lakers are 2-3. friday, we could move into FIRST in the conference. if the spurs lose to detroit and the lakers lose, and we win - we tie LA, but they have the 2-team tiebreaker with us, so we'd stay in second but would gain ground on the spurs. basically, if we win and LA loses @NO, friday will be a good day no matter what the spurs game outcome is.

^^^ If we beat Charlotte and then beat LA we'll be #1 regardless of the outcome of the LA/NO and SAS/Detroit game.

Personally I'm cheering for Detroit obviously but also LA because that way we can put some more distance between ourselves and NO and SA.

This is what i love about our Rocket...

They said ok, we cant score but nobody is going to scare then and they used a lock down defense until they could capitalize at the end.

This is turning into a "playoff watch part 2" thread.

Don't get comfortable yet though. There's a LOT of basketball left.
