Battier and Hayes haters, where are you now?

Post#1 » by rocket_zoom » Sun Mar 16, 2008 10:40 pm

For all you Battier and Hayes haters, I hope the door doesn't hit you when you jump off the bandwagon when/if the streak ends.

Battier and Hayes have been pure class throughout our win streak, shutting down our opponent's best players night in and night out.

No one hates Battier and Hayes anymore. In fact most of the loyal RealGM Rockets fans watched them make significant adjustments throughout the season, and have acknowledged that they have been crucial members of the team.

This's an old discussion.

Translation: During the winning streak, Battier and Hayes haters acknowledge they have some value to the team. When the Rockets are struggling though, Battier and Hayes haters will ask them to be traded.

LOL, that sounds like a bandwagoner to me.

Bingo. I think we could have given up something else for Battier, but that doesn't matter, its the past.

I don't think there any Battier and Hayes haters on this board. I think there might be some outside the Rockets board, but not in this board.

Yup, agreed. These Battier and Hayes haters are all silent now, with our win streak. The Battier and Hayes haters will be back when we start struggling.

Because Battier was the better player for us, and still is the better player for us.

A part of being a fan is to give criticism to players that deserve it. Battier didn't play as well he's been playing recently. I can understand why people wanted him to be traded.

So...how about that Rafer Alston guy? Is he amazing or what?

rhetorical question..
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

Battier haters are those that constantly compare him to Gay, and those that claim Gay is way better than Battier.

With the way our team is structured, Battier is definitely a better fit for this team, and he is more valuable to our team than Gay would be. For starters, there is no way Gay would be able to take as many shots as he is, with Yao and TMac on the floor.

Battier did not suck at the start of the season, it was the team, and Battier was doing a fine job anyway.
You guys know Battier game has nothing to do with numbers, i don't even know how his ppg are in this streak or his ppg in the last season because i don't care, if he make some shots when he is alone i take it, thats all i want from him on offense.

By the way i admit i was wrong about Rafer Alston, i did always want him to be traded for Cassell and i wanted Francis to start the games, i was very wrong because he is proving he can be part of the team and play consistent with this system and coach.
