Yeah.. it should've been Jabba and Kaba in the finals. The only reason they got kicked out is cause Kaba was part of the west. And i don't think they want to do that. But when KABAJABBAFYSH danced together..

I mentioned that in my list ;)

Great film.

Anybody ever seen Ichi the Killer? Probably one of the most disturbingly funny movies I've seen.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

I'm not Korean, but that doesn't mean anything. Musa is a GREAT movie regardless. Have you seen it?

Yes, I have seen the U.S. release and I didn't like it. The last ~20 minutes just didn't work for me and the princess really pissed me off. :D

That movie was just flat out disturbing, it wasn't funny at all. :(

These are some movies on my harddrive that I would recommend:

"Made In Hong Kong" was Fruit Chan's biggest splash unto Hong Kong cinema in 1997. It was definitely a different flick which got shoe-horned as an 'art house film' when there was little market as such at the time in the territory. It is, definitely different. Mostly first time actors with an interesting overlay of camera work, Fruit Chan is aspiring to be the first commerically successful political film maker in Hong Kong. It's worth a look. I missed it when it came out because I was overseas, and finally I found a working torrent.

"Tsotsi" is a south african work about a young hood. I won't divulge what the story is about, but it has garnered plenty of accolades in the awards circles. It is a heart wrenching tale about redemption. It's pretty damn good.

"Dark Days" is a documentary about a bunch of homeless people living under a train station in new york. It's as morbid as it sounds, and it was filmed by one of the group of homeless people. Excellent DJ Shadow soundtrack.

"Control Room" is another documentary about the Al Jazeera news network. This news room is the most accepted international resource in the Arab community. It's a good look at how journalism should be done.

"Letters from Iwo Jima" need no mention. As a person who was born and raised to hate what the Japanese did to Hong Kong, I've never felt so touched.

"A Scanner Darkly" is definitely one of the few Phillip K Dick novels that managed to grace the silver screen with its ethos relatively in tact. It is faithful to the original work and it's about drug addiction.

Control Room doesn't stress profit maximization and fact distortion/eschewment enough for my taste. Real news is dead. I'm going to organize a parade and wear funny hats for a month when Rupert Murdoch exhales his final flatulate (not that he killed it, but he unearthed at least 4 new circles in media hell).
Morey 2020.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor

Haven't seen outfoxed... I'll check it out.

Oh and for the action hero fans, Tony Ja flicks, especially Ong Bakk... ZOMG!

Jet Li would pay to see this.

That and speaking of profit maximization,

Thank you for smoking is hilarious!
