I do, however, hope Morey can get something good from Bobby Jackson packaged with someone else. Hinrich is ideal, but we don't have much more to offer than pg's and Chicago now has several of them.

Yea we should be on the phone with Chicago and Charlotte. IMO both Hinrich and Felton are better than Alston and they are younger and won't sit out playoff games for some injury you don't even need surgery for.

And yes anyone not happy with the draft needs to realize that we picked 25th. Not 1 or 2 or 10th. 25th. To address two glaring holes on our bench from one low first round pick is quite impressive.

Alston's surgery repaired ligament and tendon damage in his right ankle. He will be ready to play when the Rockets open training camp in the fall.

Looks like he didn't sit out for something he didn't need surgery for.

Once I saw we drafted Nicolas Batum I tuned out. The next day I went to a lakehouse and read about our draft deals in the paper...I absolutley love it. We had limited options with the 25th pick, but we got a good deal of talent and athleticism. Dorsey gives us a very strong big who can defend, rebound, and block shots (could Chuck be gone?), and I don't know much about Donte Green but I like what I've read so far. I've been insanely busy the past 4 days as I have family plans to take care of tonight, but I'll be back and I can't wait to get down to discussing this.

Also, I agree with Iggy...we should be on the phone with Chicago. I'm not very fond of Felton, but Hinrich is a great defensive PG and on a bad day he's just as good at shooting 3s as Alston. Chicago drafting Rose could spell the end of Hinrich being a Bull. We'll see...

Man damn iggy, I was the one who brough up bringing in Hinrich. Iggy just wants to go raiding with the guy.:D

Seriously though, Hinrich in Houston would be a 40+% shooter from beyond the 3 point line. He showed he could do that in Chicago where there really wasn't a big offensive threat that could get him open looks. With Yao and T-Mac drawing doubles, and they often do come from Rafer, he would have a ton of wide open shots. I think he could shot around 44%. Plus he plays good defense, is roughly as good a passer and ballhandler as Rafer, and his ego won't lead to him doing boneheaded things like picking fights with Chris Paul.
