Sign a guy like Matt Barnes with the rest of the MLE.

Trade for a 3rd scorer before the deadline.

lets trade all the scrubs for kevin martin. that guy is a scoring freak of nature! 8-)
its ok to break some rules once in a while...

Yes, because 8 for 1 deals with no talent on the "8" side happen all the time in the NBA.

Don't mind Barry. Goes that mean Bobby Jackson is on set to be traded? Barry would fill in nicely as a backup PG.

Steve has the token white guy role locked up.

You don't think Barry will give him a run for his money? He's definitely got the gangly doofus look down pat.

Damn you and your logic.

Hopefully Head is gone, happy if Hayes has been upgraded too.

Except the youngest one. What was his name? Drew Barry? I think he was drafted by Seattle (of course?) but he didn't stick around in the league.

Rick Barry has four sons, Scooter, Jon, Brent, Drew, all of whom are or have been professional basketball players. He also has a son named Canyon from his second marriage.

With his son Brent winning the NBA Championship in 2005 and 2007 with the San Antonio Spurs, Rick and Brent have become only the second father-son duo to both win NBA Championships as players; the first was Matt Guokas, Sr. and his son, Matt Guokas, Jr.

I guess I should also note for some people that while I'll be happy to see an improvement in Chuck Hayes, it's not cause I've had a problem with him, just that getting better talent for less money is always good.

Spurs have many free agents of their own to sign:

Kurt Thomas, Michael Finely, Robert Horry, Damon Stoudeamire, DeMarr Johnson, Brent Barry.

They are the front runner in the race for Maggatte. They are also interested in JR Smith.

It is highly possible that they will let Brent go and Rockets will be the next best place for Brent.

Hopefully Brent will accept Rocket's LLE leaving the Full MLE untouched.

He's about 5 years too late but at the right price he's welcomed to follow the his brothers footsteps.

Naw if we sign Barry, Luther is most likely gone. Barry used to play PG, but I dont see him playing it at this stage of his career. But I would welcome Barry with open arms. We need his shooting badly.

It seems real likely we'll get him, especially like mentioned San Antonio going hard after the Top FA wings...

why are we going after Barry? and then why are the Spurs going after Maggette?

Man, why couldn't Landry be a FA next year, and we go after Posey or Maggette?

On top of that, can we get artest right now? I'm sick of waiting, I want artest. I'm going to e-mail Daryl, tell him that's whats up.

Do it. He's bound to listen then.
