Only True Comparison to Artest..

Consider his abilities combined with size and strength. There's probably no other than this man in the whole league.

Artest >>>>>>>>>>> LBJ

(Comparing just there craziness)

I'm pretty sure Artest is probably stronger than LeBron, but their skill are uncomparable..

...Lets not get the guy overrated...

LBJ can also run a 4-4 with unbelievable speed. He is 260LBS at 6'8, thats Dwight's weight but SHORTER and all muscle. Thats beastly, Artest I guess compares in size and strength but hes to slow in terms of lateral quickness.

Absolutely not. They are both unique athletes, but Artest isn't on LBJ's level. He has a great and diverse package of talents at his disposal that most guys don't have, but James is a freak in every apsect that you can think of physically.

Not at all to LeBron, Lebron's way more offensively gifted, plays less defense and just overall a different specie. If you're talking about strength and upper body size--yeah it's comparable no doubt.

Though Ron Ron is one of a kind, mid-range oriented 6'7 250 swing. So he can play 3 positions considering his size and is pretty much a mismatch anywhere on the court, that's why he's the best 3rd option IMO of any in the league. I think even moreso than Manu at this point, simply because of his ability to go up against PFs if necessary.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him going up against Boozer, West, and Dirk for stretches during the game with Shane getting on Josh Howard, Peja. His defense is top notch, and I think his size and physicality change the entire demeanor of this team, as well as how others envision us.

The thing now is does Tracy take advantage of having Ron here by being more aggressive, or by being less aggressive and leaning on Ron?

Edit: I made this 2nd post after the inital shock of you comparing Artest to James wore off. My mind immediately assumed that you were trying to put Artest on his level when that may not have been your intention at all...not sure as you didn't clarify.

As far as freakish size and strength for their postion along with versatility they are a lot alike. As players though, they are very different. I can kinda see why you made this thread when I look at some of their similar attributes, but if LBJ would dedicate himself to defense, he could throw his hat into the ring with a guy like prime Shaq as being the most physically imposing and gifted player to ever lace them up. Once again, I can see where you were going with this though. Artest and LBJ are big guys for the position they play and have enough skills to bounce around to several other positions effectively.

That's what I was thinking. Artest is solid, no doubt, but he doesn't come off as an absolute freak of nature. His athleticism doesn't "wow" you. Still, it's not a knock on crazy Ron-Ron to say he isn't in Lebron's league.

I think Artest, on a physical prowess, is a bit stronger than James. In a one on one fight I think Lebron would get knocked out..
