Jackie Butler is off the books. It doesn't show it there, but his contract had a team option which obviously won't be picked up, lol.

Great for all 3 sides. Clippers get a good 3 pt shooter. Rockets receive a guaranteed early 2nd round pick regardless what year we use it. Steve get's the minutes he needs to further develope his skills and also show off his 3's.

it's different
waive - we have to pay for his guaranteed contract
trade - we don't have to pay him

Ah yeah, I wasn't thinking. I forget that we actually got rid of his $700,000 contract.

As MaxRider points out the team is at $70,123,000. Add a vet min(only counts @$800,000,sign Dorsey(seconds get under $500,000) and the team has 13 contracts and just a couple hundred thou under cap. Sign another min player(Maarty,Harris) and that's 14 and just over Lux Tax-but an in season trade that brings back a smaller contract can put the team back under the tax.
Pay Landry $4mil and the team is effectively paying him $12mil-his $4mil,the Lux Tax $4mil and the $4mil or so you forfeit for being over the tax.

Back to Novak and the Paper Clips, I think he could really thrive there with Davis running point.

Steve may even have a career year and explode for 7 ppg!

Hmm, from the looks of things, I would expect Morey to make at least one more trade with either Francis, Head, Hayes or 2 of the 3 being sent packing. Still have to get Dorsey and Landry signed. Maybe Deke too.

Haha, still no respect. I guess you follow Chad Ford's (lack of) analysis by the book.

Yeah, our pick will be earlier than yours, you guys have a great team. But by 2011, who knows? We'll have alot of cap room for the 2010 FA class.

We knew Novak would be traded once we signed Barry.
