What frustrated you about the Rox's last year that you hope

What frustrated you about the Rockets last year that you hope doesn't frustrate you this year?

To me it has got to be blowing leads in the game. How many games were the Rockets up 10+ points in the middle of the 3rd quarter or even going into the 4th and lost?

Losing in the playoffs comes to mind, but that's probably just me.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

I hate that we always get injured , especially Yao and T-Mac.

I hate our slow starts to every season.

I hate that every season at least one of our off season addition turns out to suck (this year it could be Barry, the guy is old)

I hate that T-Mac can't shoot in Toyota Center , his shooting at home is pathetic , I really don't understand that.

by far what frusturated me the most was watching the jazz get rebound after rebound over us and kill us on the offensive boards. And although I know rebounding is a bout position in effort it wasn't all that. They were just bigger and more athletic then us. I mean it literally looked like one of the games I played in middle school when we went to play one of those elite aau teams that "somehow" had a team full of 13 and 14 year olds that were 6 foot plus and they just picked the ball off the rim like it was nothing.

now onto more frustrations:
*can anyone else score... no really is it possible? On every team I see in the playoffs they have more then 2 players who could step up. Yea NO had peja,cp3, and d. west but you never knew if pargo could give you 10-12 or mo-pete could hit a couple 3's. They are just one example but us? If rafer and t-mac didn't score we had no chance.

*scola killing hisself.... Scola is a player who I think does to much. He's always doing one to many fakes, making one to many moves, and I know he has mid-range ability so why do I have to watch him panice and not shoot with the right form when he's wide open. I think he plays much better in international play because he's in his comfort zone and lets the game come to him. I don't think scola will ever be a "give him the ball and get out the way" type of pf but I do think he can score well if he moves well without the ball and plays within the offense because he knows the game.

*watching the media put my boy t-mac down to much when we were down, hype him up to much when we we're winning, and put my dude back down..... This is a perfect example of the media overhyping winning. Alston was prolly the most pivotal part of that 22 game winning streak, but all of a sudden since we were winning t-mac is a leader and this and that and blah blah blah. They can say what they want to, but besides the detroits series i don't want to hear a mother f'ing thing about this dudes playoff performance in his career. He's been on overrated teams since he got in the L and thats real talk.

*this one isn't really crucial, but watching the spurs whoop us live @ the end of the season wasn't really hot either.... I live in san antonio right now(unfortunately, im from dallas and can't wait to get back). And since this town has no baseball or football team the spurs are their life, LITERALLY. So when they win, they will let you know, especially if you have an h-town jersey on. Ughhh

-If I typed everything out i would take up a whole page, but those are just some of those things. Damn this made me realize how many ups and down you go through as a rox fan.

Losing in the playoffs again for starters, then I had to deal with the health of Yao for a season. And Luther's suckage in Adelman's system.

Hey guys I signed up and posted once or twice and then forgot about realgm for a while...been a loong summer! Anyway hopin to finally contribute as the token Irish Guy!!

Anyway health obviously is an issue, especially with T-Mac! The guy can't catch a break, once his back heals then its his knee, shoulder and hand(he had that strapped up for ages last season but i assume it wasnt serious?). Same thing for Yao, and lets hope Rafer didnt catch the injury bug too! :D

I didnt like the teams level of toughness last year, Scola Chuck & Battier seemed like the only guys that would/could play tough basketball! But obviously thats been addressed with the addition of Ron Ron! At least now people might fear the Rockets!!!

Head's general suckyness!! Used to think he was a great prospect but lost all faith in him now

Consistent Outside shooting was frustrating at times last year, there were times when nobody could buy a 3 but then the next game everything would go in! The PGs were really frustrating in this aspect (Skip and especially Brooks and Jackson), obviously Bones will be perfect for fixing this!!

So all in all I think Magic Morey helped the Rockets improve in most of those areas, apart from health, but I'm hoping he'll find some sort of vodoo magic to keep Mac n Yao healthy all year :D :D :D

Health was the biggest frustration. Besides Yao injury, Rafer and Battier was injured a in middle of a playoff series. We could of at least beat Utah if Rafer was not injured.

The funny thing is how people convince themselves that any of the above ever would've made a difference. I mean... Derek Anderson? Stromile Swift? Come on people... there were only 2 trades in recent HOU history that got me excited and that was the T-Mac trade and now the Artest trade. They have their faults but they are impact players no doubt about.

On Derek Anderson you are right but about Stromile it was hard to not get excited.
It was a season after we took Dallas to 7 games where T-Mac was unstoppable , we knew Yao would improve and we were missing our starting pf.

Swift has everything we need in a pf next to Yao , athletic and quick , can finish around the basket , good rebounder , decent mid range jumper, good shot blocker he was just dumb and didn;t give max effort all the time.

...that Houston still finished as an average offensive team. Hopefully, with health and another year under Adelman, Houston will finish amongst the league's best offensive teams...while keeping the defense in tact.

The lack of leadership after Yao went down. I guess even with Yao there wasn't too much leadership, and you got to admit that Tmac isn't a leader. So we played well to continue the streak, but afterwards the team was just playing basketball, it wasnt even organized really. That could be due to the lack of scorers on our team/lack of experience, injuries to Landry/Alston, etc.

What do you mean?
After Yao went down we continued to play well and won 10 more in a row , part of them without Landry.

Then the level of play went down which is to be expected , but we made it to the playoffs with homecourt.

In the playoffs we missed our pg the 1st 2 games and lost , also Luther Head who was an important bench player didn't show up again and we still managed to win 2 games against a very good team.
Even in game 6 we were down 4 at the half but Rafer couldn't come back in the 2nd half.

Our team last year vastly overachieved in the last parts of the season.
