This thread was brought up last week and KR locked it because there was no evidence he was available. Well, there seems to be some truth to what McGrady2Head said and Bibby may be available.
Having said that, my opinion is absolutely not. In order to make it work financially we'd probably have to trade 2 of the following: Battier, Artest and Alston.
Should the Rox consider Bibby?

Re: Should the Rox consider Bibby?
nope
due 15.5M
we don't have that kind of money for him
Atlanta is looking for a good potential player in return
not Battier or Artest which they already had Smith and Williams playing SF

We dont have the pieces for a trade. But I think we have a really good chance at picking him next summer for the MLE. You know he wants to win and already has a good relationship with Artest and Adelman!
He would be a good addition imo.

Did you ...
I mean...
This is like the 400th time Bibby has been brought up.
Between how bad his salary is for us to trade for, how old he is, and about a billion other things, how can anyone not realize that we are NOT trading for him this year. Why would you post this as much as it was ridiculed like 3 days ago?
He's over 15 million!!! we would have to offer well over 11 million to get him.
For some reason, lately I'm trying to write max-style, but with an extra line break and no free verse.
Go figure.
Extra hint: He's not much better than Rafer right now, if at all.

Re: Should the Rox consider Bibby?
I locked a thread very similar to this, and I did it because there was no substance to the rumor. Since this has been brought up twice in such a short time span I'll leave it runnin for a little bit, but Safi, or anyone for that matter, provide a link otherwise this is all just hearsay.
And for the record, no we should not pursue Mike Bibby. Adelman has a ton of offensive firepower at his disposal; we just need a PG who can consistently hit the 3 ball. I'm fine with Rafer starting, and unless he begins playing poorly then I think our concern should be about who will back Rafer up...not who will replace Rafer.
EDIT: I just read the wiretap.
