The 2nd units are playing with much more intensity and the result shows.

side note: i am impressed with hawes. Glad that I picked him from the waiver pool a few days ago :)

our second stringers+artest are playing better than our starters.. it was all down to effort really. Better by Luther, and Artest looks alot better when hes the main man. Still a few dumb mistakes by luther To's and that forced alleyoop.

I dunno about that. Hawes looked good cause no one wanted to guard a jump shooting big man. We put Scola and Chuck Hayes on him and he cooled down.

Martin is like Dwyane Wade , can't touch him.

Another interesting observation.. with this offense, i believe we will see many occasion that Rockets have 7 or 8 players with double digits points.

Refs have to fill a quota of fouls per team. Who else on the Kings gonna draw fouls. I got Martin on my fantasy team b/c I have a feeling this dude gonna average 28-30 ppg

Wise decision , I could see that happen for sure and he is also very efficient.

Well its good to know our second unit + Artest can beat 3/5 of the Kings opening day starting 5. About the only good thing that came from tonight.

Rockets' bench will be rockets' major weapon. Landry is a beast eating up the other team 2nd unit and Barry is as crafty as ever. When Battier is back, and if rick play artest with this 2nd unit, they will be a main factor that rockets pull away from a tight game.

Just checked the boxscore and found rockets outrebound the kings with Hawes still playing. The effort of Hayes and Landry cannot be denied :)

Kmart is a soft player, if you get a lockdown defender on him he really can't play. He's a great shooter but I dont think he has what it takes to be a centerpiece for the team. I prefer Monta ellis, at least he is tough and can attack the basket.

F**k it. Let's trade Yao for Spencer Hawes.

The way Hawes totally OWNED Yao is making me say stupid things... (as always?)

No, you don't know Jove9. He's dead serious, and I for one, second his trade proposal based on the results of this game!

Alston/Brooks/Francis
TMac/Barry
Battier/Artest
Scola/Landry/Dorsey
Hawes/Hayes (you know he's good when his name is only one letter different than The Wagon's)

Rockets 2008-2009 champs!
Morey 2020.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor

...and that's precisely why I like Von Wafer on our team.

How can we lose with this team?
Rafer
Wafer
Trac-er McGra-yes
Hayes
Hawes

As you can see, T-Mac is the key to all of this working.
