T-MAC- "Rockets go as far as I take it"

Post#1 » by Turboner » Tue Nov 4, 2008 10:24 pm

I think that this season more than ever it is more evident that yao is the deciding factor as to whether the rockets will advance to the second round or not. With artest and battier, I think that covers the scoring and the defending that t-mac provides. Should T-mac be even saying stuff like this? After all, there is no I in team

i don't think he meant it like its his team. he meant to say that he has to be healthy for the team to go far....which is true

I agree with him, we depend heavily on him.

So you don't think a healthy T-MAC can make a difference between the Rockets winning just a playoff series opposed to a championship?

I've stopped paying attention to anything T-Mac says a long, long time ago. You should do the same.

He had not complain about his back in awhile. His knee and shoulder are the problem now.

I guess what I should have said was, should t-mac talk from an individualistic perspective instead of talking from a perspective of playing collectively as a group. I totally agree that he makes a difference, but he isnt the only one that makes or brakes the team.

Well he is right. His versatility sets him apart. At the end of the day we aren't gonna be as good as we need unless he is healthy and running the offense. I think Adelman hinted at it a little in an article on the Chron. Said he wished McGrady was healthy b/c he can do so many different things offensively that it would allow all 3 of em to play together rather than take turns as they are doing now.

As far as his comments. Just McGrady being McGrady saying stuff. You read...and you let it go b/c next week he'll be saying something else.

This why you can never trust the wiretap for complete picture.

Whether the Rockets can be a healthy team physically and mentally is a big question mark.

They definitely don't need any drama from the oft-troubled Artest, but it is always a possibility with him. They need Yao, Shane Battier, and Rafer Alston to stay healthy, too. But for the Rockets to put up their first championship banner since 1995, a healthy McGrady on his All-NBA level is a must.

"We are going to go as far as I take it," McGrady said. "If I'm healthy, I'm almost positive that good things will happen for this team."

I don't think he maents it that way , at least I hope he didn't because thats a stupid thing to say.
But T-Mac is still our best and most important player , IMHO.
