As long as the Lakers continue to play well, it won't happen. But Stephen A., who first reported this deal, says that he thinks its very possible that at some point we see an Odom for Marion deal. Now we can debate whether such a move would impact the Rox negatively or positively but I think it definitely affects the power structure in the West.

I don't see how Marion will fit into the Lakers system. Don't think he will like to be the 3rd or 4th option.

I like this trade for both teams. Denver gets a true PG who will provide a stable offense, whereas Detroit gets a huge cap relief and the opportunity to test Stuckey next year. Dumars must have a lot of faith in both Stuckey and Amir Johnson.

The only uncertainty for Denver is whether or not Chauncey can maintain his game at a high competitive level. Billups is 32 and he has several years left in his contract.

Since, imo Miller and Billups is a wash, they basically turned old Joe Smith and 2 2007 1st round picks into old Antonio McDyess. I guess they're back where they started with 2 years of heavy marketing in the bag at the cost of 2 draft picks... Not exactly mind blowing or horrible. It looks like it might have gotten them under the luxury tax at any rate.

lol - interesting way to look at the deal. doesnt work that way, but still interesting.

absolutely not.

I don't think Billups at this stage is better than Andre Miller.

I don't follow what you mean that it doesn't work that way, I didn't mean it was their intention, I mean it was the result. There's no "work" involved.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor
