Re: Do you folks want Kirk Hinrich?
there's no chance that battier, artest, and mcgrady all start consistently. the offense is there but the defensive liability is huge. None of those three can consistently keep up with a quick point guard, and even Artest will get systematically exploited by even jameer nelson, calderon, ford, etc. much less elite guards like paul, nash, and deron.
yes, mcgrady can play point forward, but when it comes to defense he can't guard the opposing point guard. If any roster bumping is to take place, artest would bump scola out of the starting lineup. out of the forwards of Battier, Artest, T-mac, and scola, scola is arguably the least talented and thus doesn't deserve to start.
giving brooks more minutes will be a better option than trading for an overpaid hinrich. i do agree that there should be an upgrade for 3 point shooting - JJ Reddick - a young brent barry.

Honestly...artest will come off the bench...during the game, their mins will be staggered...and at the end of the game will prob be Artest, mac and battier....We need a big man...send us thomas, instead....AB is doing great for us. What happened to his bone bruise? If this is him at 70% Houston got another steal in the offseason last year.

Re: Do you folks want Kirk Hinrich?
Hinrich would certainly be an upgrade over Alston. If Kirk had all those open looks that Rafer does, then I'm pretty confident that he'd knock them down at a 38%+ clip. Also, don't forget Hinrich's defensive capabilities.
As for playing Mcgrady at PG, he's already getting burned by the opposing SG...do you really think he can keep up with guys like Tony Parker, CP3, Nash, Deron Williams, etc...?

Forget those guys. He probably can't even keep up with the Brevin Knights, Beno Udrihs, Smush Parkers, or Mike Taylors of the world.

Re: Do you folks want Kirk Hinrich?
If healthy, definitely yes to Hinrich (unless your worried about money)
Hinrich has good D..can probably knock down open shots better than Rafer and has much more value than Rafer
Tmac should NOT play point...he was already complaining about being a playmaker a couple of years ago if I remember correctly. He should save his energy for 4th quarters and the playoffs.
Battier, Artest and Tmac can still play starter minutes between the 3 of them if one of them doesn't start. 96 minutes at SG/SF between 3 ppl = 32 minutes/person

Re: Do you folks want Kirk Hinrich?
T-Mac chooses to be the playmaker, and I do not think he has ever complained.
Him playing point does not mean he has to guard the point, this will be mostly when battier comes back
