You guys probably talked about this before, but I don't want to read all 11 pages of this thread to check....

How in the hell does Yao airball a dunk?!?

You know, I was joking this preseason when I suggested we scrap everything and trade Yao for Spencer Hawes. But if Yao continues to get abused defensively and suck offensively, it may not be that bad of a trade.

I can't believe I just wrote that.

I didnt see the game last night (I cant believed I said that), but did he miss another wide open dunk or are you talking about the one in the Blazers game. I wondered the same thing. The guy is 7'6 and he cant make a dunk? I think Reggie nailed it on the head when he said prime Shaq would have tried to pull the goal down instead of a layup that close.

No, this was in the opening minutes of the Clippers game. Yao spun on Kaman, and went up with two hands to flush it down. Somehow, the ball doesn't hit the rim.

The announcers on NBALP said it was the worst dunk attempt in the history of the game and clowned him for the rest of the half.

Does anyone have a clip of that?

Yao was better defensively and rebounding yesterday than the two games before, but this is not saying much. I think the problem is beyond "softness," softness does not cause him to get stuffed by the rim and not be able to move his feet. I think it is abundantly clear that he is not recovered from his injury. Now the question is whether you think he is just out of shape and will be fine by the ASG or if it is permanent and he is washed up. Obviously if he is washed up you trade him now, but you should aim higher than Spencer Hawes.

how is 2k9 better? i want to dunk all over my opponent

nothing against you but i don't like hearing people saying X is better than Y
when they don't even owned both X and Y (fair comparison, you can't compare live 03 with 2k8)
people usually just bad mouth on something when they had bad experiment with it
i bad mouth HP and Seagate because i had problem with
are they bad? no

AJ isn't just making things up. Here. Look at the metacritic scores:

http://www.metacritic.com/games/platfor ... =nba%202k9

http://www.metacritic.com/games/platfor ... 0live%2009

Metacritic aggregates scores from many different reviews from all over the internet. The general consensus, from critics and fans alike, is that 2K is a better game.

Of course, this doesn't mean that you SHOULD buy 2K instead of Live, or that you won't enjoy Live. It just means that if you're looking for a more realistic basketball experience, 2K is a better buy.

One critic review? Probably not. But when the critics are overwhelmingly favoring one product, there's got to be a little truth behind what they're saying.

There's user reviews on there too, if you care to look.

Either way, it's not that big of an issue. Buy Live if you want. I don't care.
