Dammit, don't want to defend his sorry ass, but check his playoff stats, pretty phenomenal, and he usually shows up in the big games, then you check his supporting cast, and results pretty much counter cross.

Actually there are big games and there are bigger games. Every playoff game is big...but then the close out games are bigger. McGrady has yet to show greatness in a close out game and he has had 6 chances in his career.

People always say where was he in the later games of every season , but T-Mac until the Jazz series won the games for his team nearly by him self.
He scored 30+ everytime and killed the other team , then the fuinal couple mof games come and T-Mac;s teamates rae just not good.
Teams won't let the guy that beat the the first couple of games do it again , they triple ateam him and force the other's to win it , and I am sorry Jacque Vaughn and Andrew Declerq can't win a playoff ga,e for you doesn't matter how open they are.
“He didn’t miss?” , “That’s fantastic. That’s tremendous. I wish I could have a day like that. I dream of the day I could go 12-for-12.”-Rafer Alston

Andrew Declerq would help our frontline tremendously if he was in the shape and form of 2001-2004.. He's got legit size of a true 6-10 with the reach and mass to play backup or starting 5 when Yao just sux at the moment at times..

Adelman needs to get this offense rolling like last season. You guys think maybe its time we let Artest come off the bench? I mean we did win 12 straight with the lineup of Alston-McGrady-Battier-Scola-Yao.

We need to get a bigman... and between Scola and Landry... Landry has to go.. It was a mistake in resigning Landry... Yes he has athleticism but a 6'7" guy that can power dunk and play only with possession of the ball is way overrated. We need that 6'11 + guy that can do what Landry does without a short stature liability.. Hayes can steal balls better than Landry and also defend.. but Landry was a big mistake when he can't tip the ball in due to his undersize...

We need Carluis Scolandry. Pretty sure China got some underground science that can do it. Did they said China made Yao Ming?

Also the statement "hes never been out of the first round" as stated by JVG is the most ridiculous judgement passed on a player. JVG is also one of the most intellectual analysts in the nba and breaths basketball,,,,He knows tmac better then we all do and has done nothing but defend him so clearly the guy must be giving an effort

JVG defends Tmac because he knows how mentally fragile the guy is. He sings Mcgrady's praise in front of the media only to motivate him. The guy is soft as a pillow. I haven't seen a guy with worse body language in the past 2 games since Starbury was still playing for Isiah. Most players in the NBA play with some sort of injuries or sickness. If you're really that sick, dont' suit up. If you're playing, don't act like you just got ran over by a truck. The thing that pisses me off the most with Tmac is that he wears his trouble on his sleeves. He lets everybody and their mother know that he isn't well. Just pathetic.

It was hilarious to come back here a day later and read the first two pages of this thread. That being said, good luck the rest of the season.

What was so hilarious? Nearly everyone picked the Lakers to win, or didn't say the Rockets would win.

They have a right to be, they made it to the finals last year, and look even better this year, but I was just wondering what's so funny when nearly everyone predicted the Lakers to win despite it BEING the Rockets board...

Thanks HTOWN_TMac, not all of us are as cocky as some. Don't trip too hard on CITYOFANGLESX3, he's usually pretty melo. I looked back at the first two pages he was talking about and I didn't really nothing that should've riled him up. Just the normal pre game banter but hey everybody tics a little different.

I doubt anyone expected them to be blown away by 30 points.

I predicted at least 15pts lost.
