I wish RA was a better passer. There were a few times on fast breaks and drives to the basketball that an easy behind the back pass could have led to an easy lay up instead of trying to score on his own - which he doesn't do well at all.

Yao was gassed not from just fronting he was gassed from being the only pick and roll guy and JVG was asking him to guard out to the 15-18ft line.

I remember tons of threads about "why does Yao set so many pick" "why is JVG asking Yao to guard way out from the paint"

Its a ton of things he is asked to do, that caused more fatigue.

Bottomline is, when Rockets move to an inside out offense, they look much better. That's what you saw in the last quarter (well besides making shots). No more high post.

i'm ok w/ JVG, or anyone, asking Yao to come out further to defend, but I agree I don't get why he is asked to run so many PnRs.... TMac is actually a pretty good catch and shoot guy, when he has his feet set, if only he'll stop taking so many pull up 3s.

I'm ok with the rockets running more plays to get yao the ball in the low post since he's not shaq, however, up to this point, it's not working for him and the team in the high post, and there's no reason to think that it could. if a team fronts him we just need to work on accurate and crisp passing (and at the end the passing actually looked pretty good) given our talent, we should be ok.

Nice finish to the 4th, big shots by both Yao and Mac. Got to play better for a whole 48 min if we want to come away with a win tomorrow..

See what happens when Yao gets the ball in the low post?

Unfortunately its the getting the ball there part. JVG kept calling it....he couldn't understand why the Wizards weren't fronting. When Yao is killing you like that...9 out 10 NBA teams would front. Sad for the Wizards that they are that 1 team.

Thanks for the insight.

Wizards fans know the pain of being that one team.

Great f*cking game !!! I would have been pissed if we lost. Landry came up huge in the 2nd quarter. He played like a man possessed and thats what we need. Brooks was huge tonight as well. He had a few highlights himself tonight. And T-MAC came through when it mattered the MOST. We were down by what ...8-10 pts?? Before he started draining those 3s. That is going to do wonders for his confidence.

Next game is against Orlando. That will be another early test for the Rockets. We cant afford to just play 24 mins of good basketball against them though or it could get very ugly.

Another thing, I liked McGee from Washington. He could turn out to be a pretty damn good player in the next few years to come. He reminds me of Tyson Chandler.

McGee's game remind of Keon Clark, tall skinny guy with great leaping ability and attitude,he would be the perfect type of guy next to Yao Ming if he can improve his range.

McGrady woke up in the 4th. He was more poised with his jumpers and good things happened when our perimeter players hit their wide open shots.

With McGrady hitting the threes at the end he might come out chucking.

Keon Clark has an AWFUL attitude. Dude drank himself out of the league.
