better lineup

Post#1 » by whipdamage » Sat Nov 22, 2008 2:45 am

i'm not a rockets fan because i hate mcgrady, but i think i have a lineup suggestion.

landry should start over scola. he can be a clean-up man and go for put-backs. landry is a better finisher than scola who drives and goes for layups.

scola can be an energy player off the bench.

the lakers made odom come off the bench because radmanovich fit better as a spot-up shooter.

Well we gotta get off to better starts. But a lot of that has to do with the poor energy we bring to start the game. Nobody is sharp offensively...lot of jumpers.

i think landry complements yao ming better.

scola can create his own shot, but i think he's better as a 6th man.

my nba live lineup
Yao/Landry/Battier/T-Mac/Francis
Mutombo/Scola/Artest/Barry/Brooks
(T-Mac and Barry are actually my backup PG, who care Barry can dunk in the game)

My NBA2K9 lineup

Yao/Scola/Battier/McGrady/Alston
Mutombo/Landry/Artest/Barry/Brooks

Head actually plays both PG and Sg on my team if Alston or McGrady is in foul trouble.

It doesn't matter who is going to start in the 4th position, what matter the most is that Shane Battier must start for the 3rd position, with Ron and Arron coming off the bench. Basically we are the same team as last year with a ALOT better bench.

Landry would be better IMO but the concern is the lack of rebounding with the 2nd unit when Yao goes out. I also agree that Artest should come off the bench when Battier returns so the 2nd unit has enough firepower with Artest, Brooks, and Landry.

Rick Adelman is stubborn about his rotations. I doubt he shakes things up. Our big trio is just struggling offensively. Once the shots start falling consistently and T-Mac is in better playing shape we will be ok.

The starting lineup is fine but if Rafer continues to blow I seriously would like to see Brooks out there to start at some point this season. Seriously guys, its only a matter of time before he takes over the starting PG position. Whether its later this season or even next year, its gonna happen.

If Landry continues to hit those midrange jumpers and shows consistency at the high post, he should take over Scola's spot.

Though Landry's shot is nice, I like him hanging around by the goal where he can dunk on people.

Thats what he did last season, just run the baseline

Yeah I agree landry and scola are interchangable. Their defenses are both pretty horrible due to their small size. Rafer should get traded and brooks should start once francis comes back. I seriously doubt francis could suck any worse than Rafer right now and I actually prefer francis over rafer turning it over and running the fast break like a (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

Sadly Adelman's philosophy on player rotation is you come off the bench in the order of your percieved talent rather than focusing on matchups and chemistry.
