Thomas has been replaced in the stating lineup and his minutes have vanished. Was gets a salary dump, and some depth at the guard spot and perimeter shooting with Head.
Houston gets a tough interior defender and a suitable backup for Yao (he could also easily slid over to PF next to Yao. Hou is the worst shot blocking team in the NBA and Thomas can definately help in that area.
