From the sound of it last night, he likes broadcasting. Plus it'd be really hard to go from head coach to assistant coach, especially when he could probably be a head coach with other teams.

It was love/hate with JVG. The doom and gloom thing was annoying and probably rubbed off on some fans like myself. And his play calling where he only ran 3 plays was a pain. But I don't think anyone knew this Rocket team or is better prepared to coach them right now than JVG is. Unfortunately...the health was never there to get a high enough seed. The talent was never there to finish off Dallas...and McGrady just didn't make the plays in game 6 of the 07 Utah series that would have enabled JVG to keep his job. Its funny..b/c this team is very much constructed to play for JVG.

It will disrespectful to offer such position to a renown coach such as JVG.

I totally agree with you Iggy and would like to add that this team was not just constructed to play for JVG, but constructed to play defense. JVG is just the first name that comes up when u think of a defensive coach. Any coach that cares a hoot about defense could get this team to be a top 1 or 2 defensive team and that's why I don't like Adelman's style right now. He'll learn soon enough when we're .500 or below that he needs to focus on aspects that these guys are good at (defense, half court sets that work) and stop trying to turn us into the Houston Kings.
