I Am Worried

Post#1 » by ShaY » Thu Nov 27, 2008 3:20 pm

But not about the loss to Indiana , we lost that game only because we relaxed again just like in SA and we thought we had the game won already.

We are a veteran team and sooner or later we will fix that , it's important to get a good seed but we will have time to make up these stupid losses , there are still a ton of games left.

What worries me is Tracy , I hope he can be 100% again this season.
I think his decision to sit out is the right decision and I don't care what the doctors say , I don't care if he can't injure his knee more by playing , he is not 100% right now and can't give us 100% during the game so he should sit.

That article when Wade said he feels T-Mac's pain really got me worried , Wade looked terrible last year and never was 100% , I am worried T-Mac will be like that this year.

Without a 100% T-Mac we are not getting anywhere , he is still our best player even though Yao sould be 1st option.

I am not worried about these losses this early in the season as long as we get enough wins even though it looks bad.

I will be worried if it happens 2 months from now but not now , I just hope Mcgrady will be healthy again this year.

I don't think we have started to click yet and the urgency isn't there because we have an unhealthy team. It will come together Shay, don't worry. I think it's just a matter of time before it does.. T-Mac is fine IMO and I don't think he's going to rest after this. PLUS, Wade's knee was a in way worse condition than T-Mac's.. I mean that guy had to do everything to his knee to just practice then he finally gave up. T-Mac can still play and the doctors have told him that it'll get better if he plays.. so he shouldn't sit out. We will make up for these poor loses like we always do. We are what they call "a second half team" kind of like the spurs. We don't start to click until January-Feb time.. Plenty of games to go around after that.

The next two games are San Antonio and Denver, I highly doubt T-Mac will sit out for those games. Me personally, I don't think he will sit out at all after watching this Pacers game, we need him on the court and he'd be stupid if he didn't realize that. I don't expect us to be over the Lakers come April because the Lakers are unconscious right now... But the 2nd and 3rd seed would be happily taken IMO, that's better than ending up 4th or 5th again.

I don't mind T-Mac resting if he had to, but doctors have said that his knee would get stronger by PLAYING on it, problem is with that injury he doesn't go 100% on the knee, and resting would just get him more out of shape, and reduce his level of play even more if he were to come back.

That actually wasn't it. We simply didn't have an answer offensively when they went small. In fact Adelman completely miss handled that..taking Yao out of the game on defense and subbing him back in on offense. You leave him in there...it just really threw Yao out of rhythm because he was no help offensively during that stretch.

But look...when teams front Yao we have to be able to do other things offensively. We played hard throughout that game I thought....nobody else stepped up offensively to help Yao. Artest struggled...got his shot blocked at the basket a few times.

Shay,
I feel you may be right. The point everyone is missing when "the doctors" say it can't get any worse by playing on the knee is McGRADY's KNEE IS DAMAGED. It's not that the muscles need strengthening,it's his friggin' knee is still damaged and will be for the rest of the season. For the next 7 months he's going to live w/constant pain and prob heavy pain when he stresses the knee by playing on it. Any time off he takes might help w/the pain, but it won't deal w/the underlying problem until he gets his knee worked on again.

I fear the T-Mac we've seen so far is pretty much what we'll see all season long. Along w/ a monthly "should I shut it down for a week or two". Hope I'm wrong.

What worries me is that McGrady might be using his injuries as an excuse for his poor conditioning. Well I'm not sure if that's the case, but it's a possibility. He needs to toughen his mind and body.

IMO the reason we couldn't get the ball to Yao or deal with the fronting was because we relaxed and lost all rythm offensively , the Pacers started kncking down shots and had all the momentum.

T-Mac looked a little overweight early in the season but since then his conditioning hasn't been a problem at all , it's just his knee so I don't know what you mean.

Well since he injured his knee, his stamina took a hit. You need your knees to run, no?

But he never looked tired at any point this season besides the game he had the flu.
In my opinion his stamina his fine , he is just slow and can't jump.

His stamina appears fine because he doesn't move much on the court. Stamina, strength, quickness, and jumping all go hand in hand with conditioning. His poor conditioning may be a result of years of injuries and that he doesn't go through proper rehab upon recovery.

And he's extremely content with deferring to an extent that may not be the best for our team.

Well, what I can say is that we can't just relax and think is too early in the season because teams are too good in the conference that later could be a little bit late.

Dont expect another 22 winning streak to come to the rescue this time around...
