We had a chance to win this game. We cut a 22 point lead to what ... 2 points ?!?!? We needed Yao to have a huge game and he couldnt do it.

Were now 2-3 without McGrady.

it is 3-3. Chron has a sticker keeping track of it.

Trust me, its better than watching our team tonight.

Worst thing about this loss is, we are tied for 1st place in southwest, where we have all 4 teams with 11 wins. This is going to be one of the toughest divisions to win.

At least ARtest says he will be playing tomorrow. I think Ric rested him, because he felt we could win without him against the Grizz's.

Honestly if we didn't have such a **** 1st quarter, we probably would have won or came close to winning. That and if we actually played some defense.

You know the key to us is? If Adelman fails to inject any toughness into Yao, then we better rest him for crunch time and crunch games, or we are going NOWHERE.

Somebody needs to inject some SEX hormone into Yao's body. He needs to man up.

Iam seriously worried about Ming, i thought he was going to step up this year, but he is worst player than last year and 2 years ago.

I don't think he's 100% physically, he is slower, has lost muscle, and has an even worse leaping ability than before, but then again I don't think he will ever be 100% physically. He is playing like a star player in decline, capable of putting up big games, but also capable of putting up clunkers like tonight. I think what you see from Yao now is what you will get at best for the rest of the season. It is possible that with some rest in the offseason he will be better next season, but I seriously doubt it. He is probably on his way down and out. I give him about 2 more years in the NBA, and by the time his contract ends he will be a minimum salary scrub and nobody will want to sign him.

Yao is healthy
he's spending too much time with T-Mac
now he's picking up the bad habit from him
not playing with heart 100% of the time
i don't really care
as long as they show up in the playoff
but if we keep losing those games we should won
you can say goodbye to playoff

I wouldn't say Yao is a decline. Its a combination of items

-coming back from injury
-fatigue from Bejing
-Ron Artest (look at Boston's Big 3, all 3 of them have lower numbers, but they win as a team)
-Ric moving more to a motion offense (less high post, but he had a few in the first 10 games)

The number 1 issue holding him back

-Aggressiveness, the will on wanting to crush your enemies. The next worst part is, if he displays aggressiveness and gets offensive fouls, he becomes meek. Yesterday in the 1st quarter he tried hard to establish position (memphis just did a good job fronting him), 4qtr he tried again but picked up offensive foul and recieved less calls.

Thats whats holding him back and thats why i continue to hate this guy.

Those are excuses fans come up for Yao. He had 3 days rest before the game. He's playing around 30 mpg in the past 2 weeks, he got plenty of rest. Fatigue from Beijing? Olympics is over in August, he got September, October to rest before training camp. He was also resting after his surgery. He got plenty of rest.

Yes Yao didn't look good but you have to give some credit to Marc Gasol. He's been playing well for a rookie. He doesn't make spectacular plays but looks consistant and steady at center.

That is wrong. What is holding him back is decreased quickness, strength, and leaping ability, often confused for "lack of aggressiveness" or "being too soft". Unless he gets his physical ability back to where it was even last year, he will be like this for the rest of the year, possibly worse as he wears down even more. Simply put he is in a physical decline, otherwise known as being washed up.
