it's winter
we need someone to warm those bench for our players to sit
we will no longer need his service when the weather is warmer

Re: Francis
I think he get some minutes as soon as he is in better form, in a game we lead 30pt half way through the 4th Q. I dont know when that is gonna happen.

We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

Like Max said, Francis is busy helping gravity get in some practice reps.

Re: Francis
Let's just say he is being negatively productive right now; if the Rockets didn't sign him last year, we could sign Deke right now without incurring the luxury tax.
He is simply finished, he can't play anymore, and is taking up salary space preventing us from signing someone that would be far more useful, Mutombo. Simply put he is not just deadweight, he is a liability that I am sure the Rockets would love to get rid of, but would have to give up a draft pick to do so.
If this were the NFL and salaries were not guaranteed, Francis would have been cut before the season. Maybe we could do with him what Portland did with Darius Miles, and then sign Deke.

Re: Francis
Ocker,
Francis came to Rockets w/leg problems and last Feb had surgery. The doctors were not particularly optimistic about him playing again. He evidentally didn't work too hard on his rehab and finally got clearance to practice after the season started where he got the Franchise Flu that kept him from practice for a couple of weeks.
When Rockets guards were dropping like extras in a Bruckheimer film the team suited him up because the NBA says you have to have so many players in uniform. But the League doesn't say you have to play them. It appears Francis has shown so little in whatever practices he's been in that there's now a better chance Adelman will point to some fan in the stands wearing a Rockets jersey to enter the game than he'll point to Francis.
In a more serious vein, injuries have robbed Francis of what made him special and he's been unwilling to put in the work to change his game to reflect his lessened physical abilities.

Hes just been hanging around Starbury.. They are both 'earning' their money sitting on the bench... (well not starbury he gets to be at home.)

Re: Francis
I dont know what Adelman is waiting for. This would be the perfect oppurtunity for Francis to get PT at the backup 1. We have to find out once and for all if he still has something left. If not, we should just let him go.

Don't worry. Wafer is about to drop 81 on the Kings.
Hawes will score 82, though, and ruin Wafer's big night.

Re: Francis
man since wafer blew up his attitude 3 games ago, he hasn't play a minute
I like seeing him on the court, but he might have attitude issues

I don't want Head or Wafer to be in our rotation once the playoffs roll around. Neither of these scrubs will have a positive impact in a serious run.
