Just Curious, Trade Idea

Post#1 » by vincecarter4pres » Fri Jan 9, 2009 10:27 pm

I posted this same trade idea on the Milwaukee board about 15 minutes ago, just wanted to see the opinion of Houston fans and your reasoning either way.

Milwaukee sends:
Michael Redd
Damon Jones

Houston sends:
Tracy McGrady

I think it can have warrant form either side.

Thoughts?

Some fans here are fed up with Mcgrady and will take it.

IMO Mcgrady even at his current shape impacts the game more than Redd , and I believe he will be like he was last year in a few weeks.

With Redd with have no chance to win a champinship , with T-Mac we have that potential , there is a very good chance we will never get there but Mcgrady will get this year and depending on what he can do this year he will get also next year to try and win a championship here.

If he fails to get to the WCF , he is gone in the off season , if we get to the WCF and lose there , he gets one more chance.
“He didn’t miss?” , “That’s fantastic. That’s tremendous. I wish I could have a day like that. I dream of the day I could go 12-for-12.”-Rafer Alston

if we are going to have a ball stopper on the team might as well have one that can shoot.. we would of course loose Tmac's passing ability. I would welcome Damon only because id love to have his personality in the locker room.. theres no joy on the rockets anymore lol

Redd has a player option for 2011, though.

I believe I commented on the trade board on another trade which had us sending TMac + Hayes for Redd +Jamison. The trade was unbalanced apparently. I said remove Hayes and Jamison, throw a small expiring our way. So you stole my idea. lol Seriously I like the trade. I love it.

No one would take Redd. And its more than impact, Redd isn't having a good year at all, his defense is atrocious, he can't rebound, his play-making is a joke, there is no way even the posters that have "criticized" McGrady's effort would do it.

to me i wouldnt trade T-mac because

1. Lowest trade value
2. All red does is score, cant do much anything else
3. People double T-mac so someone gets open

The only thing i want to do with T-mac is cut his salary
i think once he gets that "health" he wont play as he did in orlando, but he will play good enough

Maybe we could, though we would be losing the center of our defensive

Rip is great, he's terrific off the ball, with high efficiency.

PG- Alston
SG- Rip
SF- Mac
PF- Scola
C- Yao

with Artest continuing that 6th man role. Doubt it happens though, lol.
